I love prestige classes. The main problem was they were thought up during a time that base classes past about lvl 7 really sucked. In pathfinder it matters less since the base class keeps getting good stuff as it progresses. Good assessment of the classes. I also always liked that Mystic Theurge, it is a bit of a sink since you need to be behind everyone in spells, but you get a lot more options.
You mention Horizon Walker, and that it works well with ranger. I'm realizing that many of the coolest things in 5e D&D are just watered down versions of Pathfinder 1e things.
Could you help me with a build? Its Half Elf Unchained Rogue and Sorcerer - Scorpion Bloodline. The trait Im keeping is either Charming or Alluring for role play around wenches and female secretaries. Its so far an idea since I rarely play Half Elf mostly Elf with Blended View and either Woodcraft or Fey Sight. The occasional Tiefling Grimspawn/Shackleborn with claws, tail and clawed feet. Knowing which class to start in and when to level in the other class would be helpful too as the DM wants to start us at level 3. The feats and Rogue Talents guide will help and what spells to use and when to be spellcasting would be nice.
Can you do a video on chavalier. It seems you only talked about an archetype and then samurai that’s kinda the same class. But how viable is the Hussar archetype
At 1st, 4th, and 7th level, a dragon disciple gains an increase to the character's existing natural armor (if any), as indicated on Table: Dragon Disciple. These armor bonuses stack.
as a spontaneous divine caster , like Oracle or Inquisitor, but not Paladin or Clerik with teh feat Halfblood you can "enhance" some Races, so that they also count as Kobold and can use the Scaled disciple feat (i use this atm for my Human/Kobold Oracle - Dragon disciple combo)
yeh, i dont like how paizo dropped the ball on multiclassing, prestige classes should be a lot more rewarding and fluid to thier classes. as house rules i allow things such as favoured class to continue as if it was one of its component classes. other small buffs as well, such as eldritch knight constituting as whatever caster, and whatever mainline fighter, you chose, such as sorcerer and barbarian. also with eldritch knight, i made it so the martial weapon proficiency feat qualifies as its prerequisite so you dont have to dunk a lvl in fighter or whatnot. and for dragon disciple, the dragon form I & II lasts in hours per bloodline lvl (stacks with eldritch scion/bloodrager/sorcerer and i did allow arcanist too just cause.) this change was sadly out of spite towards ultimate wilderness dragonblood shifter & dragon oracle mystery, whose durations for both medium and large size dragonforms were in hours per lvl. no such thing towards 3rd form of though. that one can stay hardstuck to form 3 and shapeshifter :p one last buffer, though i have to umpire this as best i can, the prestige classes will also continue to fuel any resource base the component class might grant, though generally only 1 of the classes, so ki points or grit or rage per day etc as well as buff class granted effects both current and retroactive, though the prestige doesnt usually grant class features themselves. (cept dragon disciple which does base) not sure if this lengthy post was of any help to anyone :x
I also wish there were more caster-appropriate prestige classes. For basically all caster classes, the spell progression is the #1 most important thing, akin to BAB AND saves for a martial. There are tons of prestige classes that give you full BAB and save progression, so martials of any kind can easily switch out their core class bonuses for similar bonuses of prestige classes. Casters on the other hand almost always have to take at least one level of delay to spell progression, often more, even for prestige classes specific to spellcasters.
@@colinsmith1495 multiclassing in 1e is difficult, as there arent just capstone abilities to factor in, but also almost all classes use a specific resource (ki points/powers, smite evil, lay on hands, etc), and only a handful of prestige classes continue the growth of resource base, let alone having effects worth losing the class effects. they also are never allowed to have favoured class benefits. too many things tend to lead most players away from multiclassing in general. more towards archetype stacking if that. to fix the prestige class issue, the favoured class benefits, and scaling resource benefits must be adressed and implemented, and most DMs dont want to burn that much time per class per character. out of the box, your lookin at only rage prophet, dragon disciple, master chymist, and eldritch knight still scaling with everything that builds into them. save for favoured class. imo, prestige classes could use a few buffs to make them valid pivot points in a adventurers career, but not vital to a game. and that means homebrew rules for me :x

Awesome Content. Will there be a Part 2? Or do you want to talk about the Prestige Classes from Gods of Golarion?

Looking to start a Pathfinder Adventure Path campaign for my GF and looking for inspirations from your videos! Thank you for uploading! :)
Merfolk Dragon Disciple grants you some fantastic natural armor and cool RP as your mermaid becomes more and more serpentine
Shadowdancer + Knife Master Rouge Archetype + Svirfneblin Race = Epic
I am actualy playing a Herald, 1lvl cavalier 5 lvl exemplar, then Herald. So much fun, master of team feats, and great support capacity.
Any spellcasting Prestige Class can claw back their 'lost' spell levels with Favored Prestige Class and Prestigious Spellcaster feats.

Great video. I'd like to hear your take on starting with a Slayer and working towards Arcane Archer
18:50 same-type Armor bonuses DO NOT stack. You just default to the highest bonus, and the others are disregarded.

Natural armor bonuses are separate from regular armor bonuses. Natural armor stacks on itself, even from different sources.
Yay for Dragon Disciple!!!
Scaled disciple a kobold feat allows you to be a dragon disciple as a divine caster

How well does dragon disciple work with bloodrager? Are you able to use your bloodline abilities seaparate from rage?
Yay
I enjoy the shadowdancer
I would like to see a build on a darkness bomber rouge into shadow dancer.
Id like a video on the contents of the occult adventures book specifically psychic battles
Shadowdancer is gorgeous.
Which woulf you say are some of weaker prestige classes?
Can you use an umbrella to hide for shadow dancer?

I thought Natural Armor did not stack.
