Good job Pete, the crusher is as cool as the hammer mill for sure,no gold but your engineering skills are awesome man. Thanks for the video Pete, nice job buddy.
Legend Pete. You have some great skills in the workshop. Thanks for sharing. Really appreciate the effort you make to produce your videos and inform and entertain us. Well done.
Fantastic upgrades, Pete. Dimpled shaft for the grub screws on the shaft, maybe if the discs slip. It's time to find a likely quartz reef laden with gold to crush
Thanks Steve, the shaft has holes that the grub screws go into, so it won't slip, unless it shears off the grub screws. I'll have to hunt down a reef to play with, won't get rich but a bit of fun anyway. Cheers mate
Nice job Pete. Good to see the upping of sizes. Works a treat too. Well done mate. Shame there was no gold. Could be a blessing if you can’t remember where you got it from 😁👍
Thanks Andrew, It really required beefing up, amazing the force, it even looked like the 10mm plate had a slight bend to it, crazy. All good with the quartz, would have been nice to see some colour though. Cheers mate
Thanks for sharing another interesting video Pete. I think i will need to get a rock crusher in the future, makes easy work of that quartz. Keep up the great work and see you on the next one. Cheers mate.👌👌👌👍👍👍👍🤜🤛
Thanks mate, it's turned out great. I think the grub screws will hold, I didn't want to drill it though and weaken the shaft, hopefully it will be all good. Cheers mate 👍
They make great wheels to create inertia to crush the quartz so it doesn't stall, once they start spinning it takes a bit to stop them. I also made an outdoor garden pedistal for a concrete bird bath out of two rotors and a piece of falcon tail shaft. Cheers mate
Thanks mate, an electric motor will save the arm and make prcessing a lot easier and then mount it above the hammer mill to complete the process. Cheers
Thanks Lyndon, sounds like you'll have to build one and crush some WA quartz. All good with the quartz, it looked the goods, but they can't all be loaded. Cheers
Thanks, one side is 10mm mild steel with 10x10 mild steel bar and the other just has mig weld lines. I won't use it to the extreme, and as it wears, I'll just add weld. Cheers
Only basic ones, I made the jaw crusher off of basic drawings, the hammer mill has evoled a lot, there are more recent videos of that after the first build that you'll be able to see how it went together. Cheers mate
Thanks Matt, the teeth are just 10x10 bar welded on the edge, I'll just run the mig down them as they wear. I think a small motor will be great, save the arm a little. Cheers mate
Hey Pete sorry for the bother mate just wondering if you've heard from Andrew from adventure gold he's no longer on RUclips just wanted to see if he was doin ok cheers
Good job Pete, the crusher is as cool as the hammer mill for sure,no gold but your engineering skills are awesome man. Thanks for the video Pete, nice job buddy.
Thanks Morgan, this one was all about the build and test, dosn't matter that there was no gold in the quartz, next time hopefully. Cheers mate

I'm glad you enjoyed the video something a bit different, I like to do the odd build video. Cheers mate

@PetesGoldAdventures that's what it's all about. Having fun. Thanks for sharing your adventures, Pete . Cheers
If it works as well as your hammer mills it will make a crushing combo! Great work mate👍👍
Thanks James, I'll set them up on a frame one day and they can feed into each other and then maybe a sluice for that complete process. Cheers mate

Well done Pete for your updates on your crusher cheers for posting mate.
Cheers mate, I glad you enjoyed watching.

No worries, I'm glad you enjoyed it, something different. These crushers make light work of quartz, that's for sure. Cheers
Great work Pete nice bit of engineering if those grub screws on the wheels fail to hold drill.out & use a roll pin
Thanks mate, it's turned out great. I think the grub screws will hold, I didn't want to drill it though and weaken the shaft, hopefully it will be all good. Cheers mate 👍
Thanks for the lesson on reuse of rotors, good for me as car parts everywhere here,(shadetree mechanic)!

Thanks for the look
No worries mate, I hope you enjoyed it. Cheers
Well done Pete the jaw crusher is back and electric motor would be a good addition to that unit 🍺
Thanks mate, an electric motor will save the arm and make prcessing a lot easier and then mount it above the hammer mill to complete the process. Cheers
Nice work, Pete. Sad news about the gold content of that ore but I can definitely see what you mean by the pressure exerted on those plates. Holy heck
Thanks mate, all good about the quartz. The pressure is crazy, but it's pretty solid now. Cheers
Well done as usual.cheers Mick.
Cheers Mick, thanks for watching mate
Great build I will get longer out of that one for sure well done 👍
Thanks Glenno, I don't think this one will fail anytime soon. Cheers mate
Thanks Pete that was teally cool to watch Cheers
Thanks Chris, I'm glad you enjoyed it mate.
Love the engineering Pete, gives me inspiration 👍👏 shame it was a donut on the gold
Thanks Lyndon, sounds like you'll have to build one and crush some WA quartz. All good with the quartz, it looked the goods, but they can't all be loaded. Cheers
Great work Pete! sounds like my teenage son + chips 11:02
Thanks, it does make a good crunch noise, some of that quartz goes off with a good pop. Cheers mate
Well done Pete that is so awesome cheers mate👌
Thanks Shannon, It was a fun project, but I'm glad it is back together so I can start the next. Cheers mate
Great piece of kit, what material did you use for the wear area on the jaws?
Thanks, one side is 10mm mild steel with 10x10 mild steel bar and the other just has mig weld lines. I won't use it to the extreme, and as it wears, I'll just add weld. Cheers
Do you have plans for the crusher and the mill
Only basic ones, I made the jaw crusher off of basic drawings, the hammer mill has evoled a lot, there are more recent videos of that after the first build that you'll be able to see how it went together. Cheers mate
Really cool unit there Pete.
What did you use for the teeth? Looks like rebar?
Can’t wait to see a motor on it.
Thanks Matt, the teeth are just 10x10 bar welded on the edge, I'll just run the mig down them as they wear. I think a small motor will be great, save the arm a little. Cheers mate
Nice work mate trial a d error
Everything has to evolve mate, and you'll get it right in the end. Cheers
Hey Pete sorry for the bother mate just wondering if you've heard from Andrew from adventure gold he's no longer on RUclips just wanted to see if he was doin ok cheers
Has he deleted his channel?
@@adhawk5632 im pretty sure from some of the last posts i seen
I guess he shut it down, he didn't look like a happy camper in his last video's when his car had issue.
@@PetesGoldAdventures Cheers Pete if you hear anything could you let us know he like yourself is well respected in the online community
@@michealdougoh5177 no worries, he might pop up again. Cheers 👍
No colour, but the machinery works well. That’s was the point anyways wasn’t it?
That's it mate, this was about the build and too see how it went, still needs a few fine adjustments, but it's almost there. Cheers
