During the promotion season 1938-39 home form was inferior to away form (Home W9, Away W11), this was addressed by taking the team on a coach ride into Derbyshire before home matches. It worked, we pipped the S6 team by one point 🤪

I do think like what's already been said , and that's far less pressure on the team away from home, for the young lads, we all know how tough it can be at the lane, and for the younger lads I think it's just been to much for them.
As for next season, definitely Championship. And let's be clear for us we've not had Premier League players this season, and that's no disrespect to the team, we're just nowhere near the teams above us.
We've got an owner who isn't willing to dig deep and give who ever is the manager a decent amount of money to bring in the quality we need.
£20 million is nothing in the premier league, and yes I know you don't always have to spend 100's of millions, but we've brought in players who have just flopped this season, and that's down to the standard in the premier, we haven't got that level/standard of players, and for me that's the disappointing thing. Prince Abdullah wants out, think we all know that, and that's clear to see from monies available to buy quality footballers.
As we are right now, we'd struggle against the top 6 in the Championship, that I'm sure of. And I'm hoping our pre-season get this squads belief back, the fight back, moral is extremely low and for me I just want this season.over.
Why haven't we brought Billy Sharp back, I'm sure there's a place on the coaching staff for him, and he can motivate a team bigtime, we've seen it in the past.
Who says Anel and Souza will leave but there has to be interested parties, if not they'll stay. Strikers have to be a priority and Morgan Whittaker fits the bill perfectly.
We’re better away from home because there is less pressure, less expectation to perform. This has a positive psychological impact on these sensitive players. The sensitivity caused by the league position.
We will still be in the Champ as we have a big rebuild and with no investment from the prince 🤞 we get a new owner
Definitely without doubt going to be in the Championship next season and that will be a good thing, it will feel like being promoted after the events of this disastrous season. If by some massive miracle United did manage to stay in the Premier league we would only have the same big humiliating embarrassments to go through all again. It would be nice to see United attack and go at teams again and bring back the excitement rather than sitting back and letting opposition teams come on to us and then having to grind out results. Sheff Utd will only be able to move forwards with an ambitious new owner in place, I'm very much hoping it's going to happen ASAP.

I've been saying it for a while. I don't think we'll be there. I think Wilder's the wrong man for the job or trying to keep us up, and I think he's the wrong man to try and get us back up there.
Combine that with the fact there's a whole squad rebuild on the cards, I reckon we'll finish 8th or 9th, and we'll waste the one season of parachute money on pointless nostalgia by pretending Wilder is a smart enough manager for the job
Definitely time to broaden our horizons and look at the overseas market for players. The thing is I doubt Wilder is the man to create a new style of play, and develop foreign players.

Probably baldock
Berge
Doyle

Probably Mcburnie
We’re way off
We've been nothing short of a disgraceful embarrassment and the sooner May comes round, the better. Going to be a long time before we come back up, I just hope when we do we're in a better financial state and can actually compete
To me we need as a minimum
A starting LB
A big lump of a CB
Holding midfielder to partner arblaster
Two wide midfielders to carry the ball
Two strikers if mcburnie goes
Mid table next season, then with parachute payments dropping and having no money, I think we’ll be in for a rough time.
I think whatever happens we must balance the books we don't want to end up like Wednesday

When did we last sign a proven player for a substantial fee who subsequently justified himself with outstanding service over a least one season? James Beattie 2007? But only his first Blades incarnation.
Wow the only one I can think of that we’ve paid a bit of money for and get more than our moneys worth is John Egan at £4m.

You can stick the premier league, unless we get a owner with serious money stay in the championship. We are not going to win anything in my lifetime and I’m not bothered about seeing the top teams at the lane kicking our butts every week thank you.
