Just for the record, he technically said the mandarin part correctly she just misunderstood what he was saying, he said ni zhao she me which means what are you looking for, but she thought he meant to say ni jiao she me which means what are you called

But when people attempt to speak Italian, even with strong accents, either English, Russian, or even Japanese, I still know they are trying to speak Italian. But again I don’t have any clue if it was intelligible, I don’t speak mandarin. All I know is he sounded like he was speaking the same language as her.

As an Afghan, i'm actually so shocked about how smart Chunks and Niko are, Afghans do speak Pashto and Farsi but many afghan (Tajiks) speak Farsi (like me) so i understand how chunks mixed the Iran one for Afghan because i understood everything the Iranian guy said. I really liked this episode, Piwi was great I hope you bring him back👍🏻 Just wanted to point out that, Parsi(Farsi or persian) Originated from Iran and every other country that speaks it has different pronunciations from Iranian parsi, I don't expect y'all to get that because although it's somewhat similar and it's distinct enough but you've clearly haven't met or interacted with an Iranian person before, that much. All Iraqi people speak Arabic but maybe the south east region is different because they're connected to Iran and when they want to speak Parsi they have a pretty strong arabic accent which you can easily distinguish, and Afghani people have similar pronunciation but different dialect. Just wanted to kind of point that out for future episodes, so y'all don't fumble like that again lol.

She’s saying 叫(jiào) which means ‘call/yell’ which is entirely different. She said ‘你(nǐ)叫(jiào)什(shén)么(me)’ that means ‘What are you called/Why are you yelling’. The guy said ‘你(nǐ)找(zhǎo)什(shén)么(me)’ that means ‘What are you finding/looking for.’
It's because his grammar is weird. 你叫什么（what is your name）is the correct grammar for that question but 你找什么？ is a bit weird, they would typically say 你在找什么？ What are you looking for. The zai 在 should be there so she naturally thought he wasn't saying things correctly. Not to mention his intonation is terrible. Source: I speak Chinese fluently and I've been living in China for 7 years (typing this msg from Beijing rn).
In sri lanka there is two major ethnic groups, tamil (south india) and sinhalese (they originate from the Bangladesh/burma region), she was probably speaking tamil since most tamils live in the north

As an Afghan, i'm actually so shocked about how smart Chunks and Niko are, Afghans do speak Pashto and Farsi but many afghan (Tajiks) speak Farsi (like me) so i understand how chunks mixed the Iran one for Afghan because i understood everything the Iranian guy said. Chunks u were right Farsi is a national language of Afghanistan.

Just wanted to point out that, Parsi(Farsi or persian) Originated from Iran and every other country that speaks it has different pronunciations from Iranian parsi, I don't expect y'all to get that because although it's somewhat similar and it's distinct enough but you've clearly haven't met or interacted with an Iranian person before, that much.
All Iraqi people speak Arabic but maybe the south east region is different because they're connected to Iran and when they want to speak Parsi they have a pretty strong arabic accent which you can easily distinguish, and Afghani people have similar pronunciation but different dialect.
Just wanted to kind of point that out for future episodes, so y'all don't fumble like that again lol.

11:05 She’s pronouncing 找(zhǎo) as 叫(jiào). If you ask google for the pronunciation, 找(zhǎo) is the correct way to say ‘find’. She’s saying 叫(jiào) which means ‘call/yell’ which is entirely different. She said ‘你(nǐ)叫(jiào)什(shén)么(me)’ that means ‘What are you called/Why are you yelling’. The guy said ‘你(nǐ)找(zhǎo)什(shén)么(me)’ that means ‘What are you finding/looking for.’
It's because his grammar is weird. 你叫什么（what is your name）is the correct grammar for that question but 你找什么？ is a bit weird, they would typically say 你在找什么？ What are you looking for. The zai 在 should be there so she naturally thought he wasn't saying things correctly. Not to mention his intonation is terrible.

In sri lanka there is two major ethnic groups, tamil (south india) and sinhalese (they originate from the Bangladesh/burma region), she was probably speaking tamil since most tamils live in the north

I know you mean no harm but saying Sri Lankan Tamils and Sinhalese originate from South India/Bangladesh/Burma region is like saying we're all from Africa to be fair. 😭I'm ethnically Sinhalese and did a DNA test and it was mostly "South Asian (Sri Lanka to specific)" and the rest was "Southeast Asian (Burma, Thailand and Indonesia to be specific)". There are five main groups in Sri Lanka: Sinhalese, Tamils, Moors, Burghers (Eurasians) and Malays with a myriad of smaller groups like Vedda and Chinese. The five main groups have greatly influenced Sri Lankan culture and identity and there are three main languages spoken among each of the groups: Sinhalese, Tamil and Sri Lankan Malay. The girl in the video was speaking Tamil.

@@johnbt4836 There are bits missing from that interaction, i spoke to her in malayalam, she clearly didnt understand me, so i chose tamil from sri lanka I hope that clears ( Tamil and Malayalam sound abit similar so i wanted to get her reaction by speaking to her in malayalam when i saw she didnt get it, it meant it could only be Tamil
