I like Ember Knight a little bit better. Gilgamesh is good but some parts to the journey feel a little long. I loved the side stories tho. It gives a lot more feeling to the world building. I’m hoping more characters in both would interconnect over time.

Worthless regression is a weird one, cause the MC struggles to get stronger, which makes it interesting, but generally, each time he struggles there has to be some sort of saviour who just gives him their cheat martial arts, and all of a sudden he becomes stronger, which is kinda frustrating to me because it takes away from the satisfaction, that and the fact that the MC is kind of a bitch as far as I read, hopefully we see character progression though.
If you haven't read it till the latest chapter, he has a huge glow up and becomes much more powerful by going to the mountain of senses. Also, there isn't anything wrong with getting help from others, if anything, it's a nice change of pace to the usual edgy, "I'm going to do everything myself" type of MC. Don't know where the MC has acted like a bitch besides being super jealous of those he deems has "talent", but that is another obstacle he overcomes as he becomes stronger.
