Dear God! Alexander profoundly blessed us whenever he performs, therefore I ask that You profoundly pour out blessings in abundance on him and those whom he loves! Thank You!!!!
Quel brillant interprète du répertoire pianistique de Rachmaninov, je ne me lasse pas d'écouter Alexander et n'attend qu'une seule chose, qu'il se produise à Paris pour aller l'applaudir
Rach's 2 and 3 get all the attention, but when played by Malofeev this is certainly another concerto to enjoy and love. Many of the themes are hauntingly gorgeous!
This young man is amazing. I felt sorry for him when his concerts were cancelled. I did think his Grieg concerto was a little fast, but this is now my absolute favourite interpretation of the Rach 1!
It is amazing that his concerts have been cancelled for political reasons, even though he condemns the war in the Ukraine. Cancellation of his concerts is a loss to humanity and should not be permitted.
@@christopherthorkon3997I'd like to know how many European ir American musicians who didn't condemn the Gaza carnage have been cancelled. I'm utterly fed yo with Western hypocrisy (
Ah, been hoping this be put on RUclips. Great performance. The middle movement was etheric. Don't know how you have the stamina to do Rach1 and Rach3 plus encores at the same concert. Thanks Sacha!!! I can't wait to hear you live again.
@AdrianDeGraaf : Alexander played in Amsterdam Oct. 1st. 2022. Then Oct. 3rd. in Paris. Then a tour in USA and Oct. 27th in Korea. Somewhere in between he was called to Vienna (Austria) to replace a pianist and play Rach. Then back to USA to finish his tour. Then a tour in Europe ! 😲💓

@@herbiecactus6687 Maybe, but isn't sort of a ritual NOT to rehearse on the day of a show? Malofeev himself said in an interview, that he likes to have a good, long sleep before a concert. I highly doubt that the orchestra had multiple performances that very same day. Still, I re-watched most of it and the feeling is still there - nice sound, but rather generic than "wow!". Just go to 20:31 ... those few seconds are too cringe. Either a very bad audio engineer or just a bad orchestra coordination. I can't say wow! to that. Even Malofeev seemed a bit at loss.
@@alanpotter8680 the "bigger" the orchestra the less likely they will have rehearsals on the day of the performance. But it is a trend to try to force the orchestra to have one of the rehearsals before the performance to save money on logistics-- several smaller paying orchestras in the US have had strikes over this issue. I believe it is also common in community/volunteer orchestras. I was not suggesting there were multiple performances.

Absolute brilliance. I will never tire of this amazing young man. For me, he is pure therapy. Two hours a day and I feel fine. ❤😊
It is so wonderful to hear his much slower interpretation of the cadenza. The most exciting cadenza I've heard in 2023!
He is a perfectly wonderful human being who plays wonderfully perfect. 🎶
Tears at the second movement. Tenderness like a soft rain pouring over me.

First listen for me, but something is missing.. the orchestra seems extremely bored.
They probably can't get oxygen to the brain with those effing masks on. Ridiculous.
They know that they have long way to go!!!
I see that-- not much joy coming across visually. Sounds fine though.... maybe they had a long rehearsal on the day of the concert.
