At 12:10 I should not have been able to tribute the Dekoichi with Toon Cannon Soldier. And 20:40 DMOC should have missed timing, not being able to bring back the Dedication. Sorry for the sloppy play. Thankfully I lost both of these games.
@@rachelreece429 how does it work like that? The MST activated before dedication. If it happens at resolution then why doesn't activating Dedication itself cause DMOC to lose timing? :)

I like that you did all the things you wanted to playing with the deck because that was my idea at first entering the tournament and on top of that reaching top 8 was kinda crazy. @@ogamax510 MST is CL1, Dedication is CL2. Since DMOC comes in on CL2, MST has to finish resolving before the DMOC effect is activated. Since DMOC's effect reads "WHEN this card is summoned" the summon of DMOC has to be the last thing to happen for the effect to resolve. In this case, the last thing to happen was not the summon, rather MST resolving.
wing blast doesn't permanently take out the sets, so if they're real cards that could deal with the last warrior, opponent would just be able to use them later. last warrior is such a fragile monster, you really want to be sure it's going to work if you decide to bring it out. i did consider it, though.
Unfortunately, the DMOC was actually supposed to miss timing. Had I had a Pot of Greed or something, though, I could hjave fired off dedication on my turn to do some good stuff and I think you're right. Game was so close, some small help there could have swung it. At current sub rates, it's gonna take a bit longer than a week, but we'll get there eventually.

Dedication wouldn't have worked anyways, since DMoC is removed when leaves the field.
Why was the timing missed? Wasn't DMOC the last thing to happen?

its kind of crazy how many rougue decks have been doing well at tournaments, kind of awesome to see ngl, sick of control and turbo lol
I remain convinced there's a lot more rogue potential in this format than ppl assume

Why not go Last Warrior and then bounce back their sets with wing blast?

you could play a version of a dark magician deck with reasoning, but i think you'd have to change it up quite a bit
