    incrimental crr to absorb the surplus liquidity avilable in the banking system post demonetisation , rbi instructed the bank to maintain incrimental crr of 100% ,this is temporary measure
    now removed

    Incremental CRR is a measure brought in by RBI to absorb the excess liquidity in the market so as to avoid inflation conditions by asking banks to maintain 100% ICRR. It was done during demonetization. Thankyou sir ji :)

    incremental CRR is a temporary measure within RBI’s liquidity management framework to drain excess liquidity in the system..
    It was introduced in Nov 2016 by RBI to absorb the excess liquidity in the banking system following demonetization

    Incremental CRR is a temporary measure taken by RBI which is used to control excess liquidity . Post demonetisation RBI mandated banks to maintain an ICRR of 100%.
