It's realy decent work when all family help each other .. I like it so mach, and such a nice filming and place. I realy wish to visit such places with cute weather and that green horisntal view
Those are well cared for tractors, the shots from inside the baler made me scoot back from my screen a bit. Well done video, you don't know how much you miss something until it returns.
Volvo bm is quite popular in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and in the Netherlands. It's always good to see a Volvo tractor. It reminds me of the one i have. Mine i smaller though.
A Volvo Bm 814c was recently sold at an auction here in Sweden for 53 670€ or 565k SEK. Believe it had 3000 hours on the counter and everything is original. Looks almost brand new.
I thought the same. The startup cost must be quite high, but once you factor in the money you get back from the scrap metal wire being sent to a recycling plant, I would imagine it's less expensive than one would imagine. Especially in "the olden days" when a lot more farms did it this way, so it would probably make sense for local shops to specialise in recycling this kind of wire into new rolls, a closed loop system in essence. I'd imagine the wire in itself is still a lot more expensive than cords currently used, but there's something to be said about the value of keeping these machines running as well, of course.
At our farm we used to always press straw bales with the HP1600 and steel wires. In those days the bales could be pressed more tight with steel wires than with yarn/plastic fibre ropes, meaning less bales to store in the shed. A lot of straw was used in our farm on daily basis. The size of the bales is also different from the ones pressed with plastic fibre ropes and more convenient for us. Indeed the scrap metal trader was happy with the nice clean steels wires but we did not make a fortune with it :). I also can remember that a chopper could be mounted before intake to chop up the straw a bit before it was baled. Unfortunately the HP1600 broke down and was too expensive to repair.
Tractorspotter Ok thank you mate. Your videos are the best that I can see in the domain of agriculture. But can you tell me how they cut the metal cable around the bale to use it to feed the cattle? That's not so ecological. Can you watch my last video and tell me if it's good please. Continue in this way.
Tractorspotter I'm happy to see something special. Today there are only used modern Balers, or sometimes older Versions of the late 90s. But I didn't know that Vicon has produced Balers since the 80s.
usually it is cheaper to do round bales (both in power requirement and purchasing price), but squares can work faster since they don't have to stop every bale, offer a higher density and are easier to stack for transport and storage

Awesome to see those Volvo tractors working with that baler, the first one I see of that type. Great video!!!
Cool to see this kind of old machinery! I have never seen this kind of baller :)

Best Videos on RUclips! TractorSpotter!!! 😃👍
Great Video, Interesting Gear, thanks for sharing
This was awesome. My hat is off to farmer
Good looking tractors. They sound good too.
If Volvo makes farm equipment today, it will be best equipment on the market...
Balers now use fiber ties almost exclusively, because of wire tie rusting and spoiling the hay. Beautiful video.
Love the 2 volvo bm's. A first seeing them also....
I have NEVER seen that kind of baler before :D
Swedish power when it´s at it´s best!
Bet it can do better tho
Nice video and wonderful tractor and combination!
Very unusual baler. Never seen this particular model before or anything like it, not even on pictures.
Geweldige trekkers!!

Have never seen a baler make bales of that shape.

Great video but why this press works with metal wires instead of normal yarn?
Nice video
That baler does remind me of a cow ambling along and periodically lifting it tail and ... out plops another one.
:-?
Taarup invoer? Die pick-up maakt bij iedereen hetzelfde geluid!
Hey Wes pandy you should take a look at this video real old school big baling
No air condition in the cabin ? :-)
How expensive is steel wire ? And why is it used ?
the 800 and 810 is worth really much in sweden
I'm in doubt are these tractors brand new .. they locks 60s-70s but they are so clean
these are restored, there are many who keep and restore old tractors as a hobby matching machines are more rare.
I wonder how much hay it leaves in the field.
Great
Must be expensive as f to use steel wire for tying bales together.

Schöne Maschinen
Wow 😮
Why is this press working with steel wire and not with normal wire wouldn't it be much cheaper?
We don’t have Volvo tractors in Mexico 🇲🇽😭😭
Hey nice video maye! Kannst du mir sagen was ist deine kamera?
This video is made using a Panasonic GH5, but since a few weeks i use a Panasonic G9 instead.
Tractorspotter Ok thank you mate. Your videos are the best that I can see in the domain of agriculture. But can you tell me how they cut the metal cable around the bale to use it to feed the cattle? Very nice Baler, its a rare one ?!
Nowadays yes, this baler is from the early '80's and build in the Netherlands. There are only few left that I know of.
Tractorspotter

How much do those bales weigh
I wonder why in the US they seem to use round bales and in Europe they use square bales.

That wire looks like an expensive way to bind hay.

Steel wire? That's a bit strange
