Awesome vid! The blue crown I adopted was abandoned in a bathroom... he'd been malnourished but he is much better now and has even bonded with me. Blue Crowns are the best!
Thankyou your bird helped me lure back one of my greencheeks he would of been dead if it wasnt for your videos probably i kept this playlist on loop and he heard the sounds and came back thank you once again god bless you have a nice day
How CUTE!!!! When you said ''you shut up'' the first time, I cracked up! Then your bird Mikey started laughing, haha he's adorable! And good for you for adopting and promoting adoption!
Mikey is adorable. I really enjoyed hearing his "chatter". I also have a rescued Blue-Crowned for the past 4 years, and he is adorable. I think Blue-Crowned conures are gorgeous. My Baloo laughs like a human - like a crazy, mad-scientist type human. I can't help laughing when I hear him.
Blue Crowns and the Red-masked conures have been nothing but amazing with me. They're not as flashy as Green Cheeks, but I find their personalities are more cuddly. A Rescue will match you with the right bird.
He has taken to exiting the bird room and looking for me after I put him to bed lately. I usually let him sleep on a perch at night and leaving the room door open to let dim light in, but now i have to put him in his house so he doesn't get hurt. It was cute to see him waddling into the living room out of no where looking for me.
I am still trying to get our red bellied female Ming to say, "I'm a killer pigeon!" 😂🤣😂 But if she says "Nevermore" that would be cool too. Apparently she just loves to say, "I'm a pretty bird, bad bird Minger Ming Miiiiiing!" 🤦🏻♀️
Mikey has both colors! Cherry-headed conures are equally amazing as Blue Crowns. People want the Green Cheeks because of their colors, but they have a different behavior. No bird has a guaranteed behavior, just like people don't. =P
@zabuzaDosu98 Depends on the cat. A cat is less likely to mess with a larger bird than a smaller bird, but you can never be 100% sure. So if you're not supervising them, make sure they're not together.
He's so cute-such a little chatterbox--!! Lucky that he has you to treat him so good. I have a blue crown--I will be posting more videos of Birdie---check her out!
i want one too, but i don't know where to find them because i live in Belgium, and that species is hard to find, we have alot with black beak.. but i want one with an orange beak lol :p
I intend to adopt a five year old blue crown conure soon. Sadly his previous owner passed away and, since he's a bit nippy, it would be hard to find a home for him if I didn't take him since I'm not too worried about being bit at first (I use to foster abandoned birds, I kinda got use to the biting). That said, mind if I ask if you've noticed any special needs of blue crowns besides their activity demands? I have yet to care for a blue crown so I figure it's better to ask someone who shares their home with a blue headed baby.
And I thought it would be great if I watched this video to calm me down but I start crying when I saw this cuz I miss her so much you look good for her on next door app but when you just start putting out more pictures for her but yeah 😭😭
There is no way that I can see to contact you via your youtube video. I have a question; This is an adorable little piece but it was made in 2010 and I looked around to see if you have made any more videos. I'm hoping this doesn't mean that your little family has experienced the unthinkable. I am so fond of this little scene because it reminds me of my little Blue Crowned Conure, who passed away, and I didn't have enough of his really sweet lovable personality. I had him since he was an egg and he was with me for nearly twenty-four years. If there are any more videos, can you tell me where to find them? I hope you are all well. So much has happened since 2010.
I have the same bird as you but she flu away one days after her birthday and she's been missing for almost about a year now cuz 2021 and I thought it would be a great idea if I watch this video because I have the same bird blue crown conure her name is Crystal and I stay in Houston Texas
I had a Blue Crowned. I understand why it says 'you shut up' They repeat what they are told. (actually they repeat what they are told with emphasis, they key on the emotion) Yea, I told my bird to shut up quite a bit They can be very loud if they do not get attention. They are like having a 2 year old forever in your house.
+Craig Manning Pretty much. Mikey is like velcro with me and only me. It's a huge responsibility and a life long commitment having any bird. I hope to have him until I'm an old lady, noise and all.
Shebumdevi I very much hope so too....They are a life-long commitment for sure and you sound like a perfect parent. Beautiful bird. I miss my Blue crowned so much. He also said, 'whatcha doing?' and laughed exactly like this bird does.
Hi. I have enjoyed your video. I am looking into getting a blue crowned/ sharp-tailed conure as a pet. Would you recommend it? Any good/ bad points? Could you recommend any breeders in the UK? Thanks. Naomi. x
+Universal035 Every parrot is different. Some are nippers, some are mushes. Some start off as nippers and become mushes after they get used to you, some start off sweet, get hormonal, and become nippers. When you take them into your home, you have to commit to loving them either way.
Have you ha him DNA sexed? I just wonder which sex most often talks? He's beautiful and funny. I hav a sun conure and he/she doesn't talk that well. She talks in a very low voice, Like Bass. Lol
I have had birds for 30 plus years and NEVER have any of my birds gotten sick from kissing them !! Conure's are extremely affectionate and they will kiss you weather you want them to or not. if your bird became sick it wasn't from kissing him but could have been from some thing you had eaten or drank prior to him kissing you. they don't get sick just from kissing them.
I am going to post again. Its been about 3 years and I still miss my blue crowned. Thanks for the video, its like seeing my bird again. Watching this video is making it dusty in here.....Had him for about 28 years and my heart is still broken.
I am watching this post today, because my little Blue-Crowned Conure use to watch it with me. So sweet and loving, little Mikey... My little bird, who had been with me since he was born, nearly 24 years, died on Valentine's day. We are heartbroken. We share your heartfelt comments. So sorry for you as well.
I am so very sad for you. Dusty in here. So sorry for your loss. Take comfort that he had a good life. Too many birds do not get the attention they deserved but sounds like yours did. Good job.
Awesome vid! The blue crown I adopted was abandoned in a bathroom... he'd been malnourished but he is much better now and has even bonded with me.
Blue Crowns are the best!
This meant a lot to me. I lost my baby three days ago and am heartbroken. I loved to see this.
Here in Spain (in Barcelona) we have them living free in our parks :) i rescued one some year ago... and he is so noisy but lovely
My blue crown screams at me as soon as I walk in the door for about 10 or 15 minutes. Then he asks for a kiss.
I miss my baby soooo much. He was a non stop talker once he got started
I love the little red patch on his wing...It looks like a "navigational" light
yea mine has it too lol its a common trait
I have the exact same bird it's a blue crown conure she flu away though
Thankyou your bird helped me lure back one of my greencheeks he would of been dead if it wasnt for your videos probably
i kept this playlist on loop and he heard the sounds and came back thank you once again god bless you have a nice day
I love u!!
Bird: shut up
I just noticed the cat fast asleep on the coffee table...His adorable birdie brother's laughter & chatter didn't even wake him up...Very sweet❣
I saw one of these babies in the bird store today. They really are so sweet!
Blue crowns are so wonderful!
Freaking awesome ! Looks like a great little friend. Very lucky to have the opportunity to share in the life of such a cool little guy !
So precious! 💖 I have a similar relationship with my Cherry head Conure!
Awww that's so cute. I have a blue crown myself and they're such clowns. They're so adorable.
You seem like an awesome mommy and also a good person.
Such a sad story, but now you have a lovie buddy! Blue Crowns are great companions.
How CUTE!!!! When you said ''you shut up'' the first time, I cracked up! Then your bird Mikey started laughing, haha he's adorable! And good for you for adopting and promoting adoption!
@shezacat I'm so surprised how fast he learned and how much he talks! They're such wonderful companions!
This bird's voice is so cute! 😍
You are both adorable 😊

Adorable! What a 😂😂😂😂 baby❤❤❤❤
I love Mikey, he remembered my baby conure, 3 years Pepito adorable, he flew away 😞 😭
I love it when animals are happy🎉

ahhh... I am hoping to get a blue conure. I hope my relationship with him/her is similar to this it's so cute!
No You shut up! Wonderful!
Audknight XD
He probably head that a lot. I have a blue crown and she is quite noisy!
Cute bird, and I like his "Back Story"
He's adorable!
I love that it says shut up.. My conure Finn says... Naughty words but I think shut up adorable.
Dang... Someone says... I wish you'd shut up OFTEN 😂 😂 😂

The way he says shut up, god that makes me laugh
That is the way of most Sun-Conures. They're as loud as their colors.
I love my blue crown conure he's such a big part of my life .
Hes amazing!
How did he learn the word shut up ?
Mikey is so ADORABLE AND CUTE!
Cheers from Linda

Cute
Good mommie indeed ooo aaaa
Hello. What is the title of the music
wish i could get my female conure to do that! but she's pretty dominant and wont have it lol
I know some people like that lol.
@Shebumdevi Do he bite?
+Universal035 All parrots bite. Some more than others.
Shebumdevi He seems like he's not biting you in this video. I was impressed.
+Universal035 Every parrot is different. Some are nippers, some are mushes. Some start off as nippers and become mushes after they get used to you, some start off sweet, get hormonal, and become nippers. When you take them into your home, you have to commit to loving them either way.

Lol
She shouldn't kiss her conure like that. I did the same to my dusky headed conure and he got sick.
+Kathleen Monsegue Not from the conure. Study basic biology. Your bird can but in this case did not make you sick.
I have had birds for 30 plus years and NEVER have any of my birds gotten sick from kissing them !! Well then how come my conures vet said he could get sick from me kissing him? He said our mouths bacteria can them sick.
+Kathleen Monsegue Because you're a dirty girl
Lol I'm not dirty
Lool! You Shut Up X)
