- The extremely talented Lawi who took the Malawi Music scene by storm talks about the genesis of his art. Born Francis Phiri, better known as Lawi, he has won an award from Malawi’s music industry, is a nominee for the All Africa Music Awards and is actively involved in charity work and various developmental programs in Malawi. In the program he also talks about his 2017 release, Sunset in The Sky, a 25-track album.
Lawi is probably one of the most thoughtful artists Malawi has brought forth. There is a depth to him as person that his music only gives us a glimpse of, but there is alot more to him than just his music
