impeccable - even preternaturally realistic - scenery and detailing. real artistry on display here. looks like photographs of an "idealized" real world - where everything was kept immaculately clean. damn. this beats even the world-famous Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg Germany. as awesomely detailed as that showcase is - its scenes would never be mistaken for photos of reality.
+Middle Georgia Railfan Thank you.The crossing gates are all Tomar Industries H-863, they come in a set with all the hardware you need to make it work. You can get it from their website, from Walthers or from other big stores. You need to buy the controller and the bell unit separately , I use LogicRail Technologies Grade Ccrossing Pro controllers and ITTC bell units. I sell the bell units from my website www.summit-cusomcuts.com.
Outstanding! The best layout I've seen, even in many museums. Is this layout in your home, did you construct entirely by your self, and when did you start construction? Great job!
Matt88661 Thanks for your kind comments. Yes it is in my home and I planned and built it myself. I started construction in the summer of 2010. On this video you see about half of it and it is about 2/3 done
Summit model train videos Thanks for the reply! Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing future progress on your layout and more of your videos in general. Thanks again!
This looks like the former CSX Q741 that runs through North Carolina every day back to Florida for more orange juice! Except its not double stack just single due to height restrictions on the former ACL main line.
ZATLC carries the Tropicana cars west and ZLAJX brings them back east these are the Juicebox stack trains . ZLAJX also has Autoracks in consist usually rearward between CSX Jacksonville FL. cars and Avondale Westwego cars . Just found you a use for a block of auto racks for you there CSX bound to Atlanta .ZATLC has no Autoracks its Juiceboxes and CSX containers which are the majority on these trains. UP has upgraded all detectors they have a female voice with entry and exit. message
Very nice work! The road looks great with the weathered center.
Cheers Gregg
Very cool operating session.
• Cheers from Michigan
trainroomgary same here!
Nice. That long Texas road straight scene makes for a dramatic visual. I see why you like it.
That's totally awesome! Really reminds me of those UP/CSX run-through Tropicana Z-trains that runs through my area!
Hello, a pleasure to watch the video. Great.👍👍👍

Great video! What brand are the crossing gates in the first scene?
Amazing!!! I love your layout. Out of curiosity, are the crossing gates custom built?

Do you have a video of a train switching on that side track next to the Lowe’s?
So lifelike..., great job!!
Outstanding layout, ever think of putting a Faller Car System in the section of road that has the long straight away ?(1.18 time) of video.
Nice. Love the DPU
what is the size of the room your layout is in if you dont mind me asking because i would like for mines to be around that size
It looks like a intermodal more than a stack train
(Some intermodals have trailers and some intermodals don't have trailers)
Its been a while since you last posted a video. I hope everything is going all right.
how do you get the bars to work
have you try with j class 611 steam train
Great vid..very very realistic...
Awesome layout, but need to tone down the background noise, I love a long high speed model train
Great job
Love the dpu
