Why does Spencer AND Esme both need to be together and check every time Ace has a sniffle? Like this is not realistic. He's literally at his grandmother and Kevin's house. 💯 🎯 facts. Even though I love that he can talk to Trina, Spencer needs an outlet to talk about his relationship with his father. Trina can’t be his only safe space. The only reason he’s latched on to Ace this hard is because he’s compensating for his abandonment issues.
I miss when the show actually had that. They used to tell good stories around mental health. Now they act as if therapy doesn’t exist. Not only would it be great for character development, but it’s a useful storytelling tool. It would allow for tons of exposition and pov…I want this for Trina too.

@@goodmusiq3539 Couldn’t agree more. I’ve seen a bit of discussion around that lately for gh. Frank and C/D seem to prefer plot focused storytelling instead of character focused. I think the show as a whole has suffered bc of that approach. There’s no reason why some of these characters should be lacking in pov. Spencer is featured in more episodes than anyone in his age group and has been since NAC came on. Yet we rarely get him explicitly talking about his motivations. And it’s only gotten worse since Cam went off screen. Same with Trina. Hers has improved, but that took months of fans making noise about it (and yes, I credit fans for doing that )…and then there’s Esme, who at least had Ryan to work off of pre amnesia. But now, it’s nothing. I don’t know (or really care at this point) what her mindset is and what makes her tick. A better written show would give you those character moments. Not gh.

Can't stand when Laura always takes up for Nicholas and makes excuses for Esme. It's as though she doesn't see how much Spencer is hurting. Laura please don't forget what Nichloas and Esme did. At this point in this storyline , it doesn't matter who Ace belongs to, the fact remains the same, Esme and Nicholas has sex, period. How can FV and the writers old or new want Spencer and Esme together. Redeeming Esme is craziness at its worst. She never lost her memories and that is perfectly made clear in the scenes that she was in starting from the moment that she was brought to the hospital. Yes FV, I watched and rewatched every single scene this weekend.What this dizzy chick did was fed off everything that was said to her, starting with Dante saying that she was going to jail for what she had done and she used everything that was fed to her to her advantage and and she is still doing it. FV, why would you want to redeem her and breakup Trina and Spencer. These two put gh back on the map and broke a racial barrier of interracial relationships on gh. Again, Why would you want to do this.

It almost seems as though he is throwing random stories together where he creates all of the controversies and none of the solutions that will get him past the controversies. All he does is use Sprina's popularity to create plot and stories for all of the out-of-work soap opera actors that he favors. If we can see through all of that shenanigan, so can the other fans. On that basis, these obvious games that he plays with Sprina's popularity will backfire, and he just may find himself out of a job. FV seemed to have forgotten that soap operas are an endangered species. They are no longer anywhere near as popular as they used to be. We are living in a world of the information super highway where people can push a button and type a few words on their electronic gadgets anywhere in the world, and they come face to face with their favorite show in a matter of seconds... and the choices are unlimited. The point that I am trying to make here is that, given all the choices that people have, they don't ever have to spend their time watching a soap opera day in and day out that drags on for months. The world is not that patient anymore, given the unlimited choices at their beck and call. So, FV should consider it an honor and a privilege that they are those of us who still give our time and energy to the dying breed called soap operas, and he should act accordingly. We don't have to watch daytime soap operas when we can get the instant gratification that exist in the night time soaps We do not have to sit through a million episodes of any show any more hoping for a satisfactory ending...we can just turn the channel and instantly switch off a favorite show for something else that aims not to waste our time and energy. FV does not know how lucky he is to still have people in this world who put up with the dragged out stories of daytime soap in a world of instant gratification. He should stand up and take notice of the fact that we will not always be that patient, and, that there will come a time when he has to listen to the fans and pay attention to what they are saying about the storylines. Well actually she didn’t try to kill him. Nikolas threatened to take Ava’s daughter Avery away and that’s when he started to come at Ava, and before he could hurt her….she hit him. She must’ve hit him hard enough because he was knocked unconscious, but she wasn’t trying to kill him….she was trying to defend herself from him attempting to harm or kill her.
Idk I get the feeling that GH/FV are set on making Nikolas into the next Cassadine villain. They don't really have any villains on the show anymore, and with Victor/ Helena gone, they need someone to bring the drama, and drive story. Nikolas is a good candidate for that task. Valentin was supposed to be "that guy", but that clearly failed miserably. I hope I'm wrong, but since FV took over, he's pushed the character to the dark side as we saw toward the end of TC's run.
Now that our weekend in NYC is over I'm going back to skipping over these Laura's house with "Esme and Spencer checking on Ace" scenes and will only watch Spencer & Trina exclusively. I can't with this anymore. I needed this storyline to be over months ago. So I will have to block it out until it actual is.
I agree with you I just recently started watching GH because of Spencer and Trina and I was on edge about when they would finally be together since the day he met her that is all Spencer wanted. Now they are together I will not be able to go back to the for the next 18 years they have Esme in their face because she has a thing for Spencer and doesn't want Trina to have him. Didn't we just get done with this storyline that ended with Trina going to trial for something she didn't do because Esme set her up? Come on now the writers need to do something better they are at JaSam level bring on the adventure, the love, and the passion I believe that SPRINA (NAC and Tabyana) can handle it.

Sasha was pregnant and went into labor and later lost her baby. She thought she was locking up Joss & Trina and may have killed her adopted parents for her inheritance. Esme didn't want any friends, her mission by Ryan was to destroy Nicholas and Spencer was the bait. Now she wants Spencer to be her man. She is crazy just like Ryan & Heather.

I’m not concerned that we’ll get a repeat of the show trying to pull a bait and switch with Esme. I do believe spencer loves and is dedicated to Trina. I think where the concern comes in is HOW the gh creative team will choose to present this story…. Will we go back to esme and spencer having 2-3x the alone time together compared to him and Trina? Are we going to start seeing outsiders comment again on how raising a baby brings ppl close? Will Spencer continue to be overly friendly with esme?…I’ve said it on here before and I’ll say it again, gh spent 2 years building trust with the audience only to torch it this summer. It makes fans, myself included, watchful of everything, both good and bad….a scene as simple as Spencer wanting to put his brother down for a nap becomes about everything BUT that when trust isn’t there with audience. That’s GH’s fault. And I don’t blame anyone for side eyeing anything within this story.

But they basically warned us while they were in bed that last day what we were coming back to. She talked about being worried about Curtis and he mentioned not wanting Ace to feel abandoned. So here we are…I’m just praying we get some forward movement over the next few weeks. I think the initial response to these clips, from me included, though I’ve softened a bit, is “Lord, more of the same mess”. But we have a lot of road in front of us and their relationship has been solidified. So I’m willing to see how things unfold. Especially with Nikolas possibly coming back.

Every time Spencer sees Esme, he sees his dad on top of her. It is sick and Laura should know this. Spencer sees Trina and she is his everything and she is so thankful for what he did for her in NYC. Esme once upon a time said that Spencer was not man enough in the bedroom like his dad Nicholas. With Trina, he was satisfied with her love and that he finally was her man, and she was his woman. Esme never gave her all to Spencer, but our girl Trina gave her all to him and he felt it all through every fiber of his body. In NYC, they both mesh together as one. Esme is nasty and she thinks she can get Spencer back. Trina has his heart and Spencer has her heart. Their love lit up NYC and he was the happiest man ever.

Does General Hospital have the Balls to wrap up this Esme story? Other channels see through Esme, and they are tired of it. I am tired of other channels saying they had their romance, and you have to expect them to go through trials. All the time they have known each other (drama here and drama there). Esme laughed about using Spencer to her dad, that is evil. Stop trying to redeem her, she is evil and stop having her use Ace to get what she wants.
In this storyline with Esme, Spencer and Ace, I wish they'd just do a DNA test that proves Ace is not a Cassadine after all so 1) Spencer could move on with his life and not obsess over Ace; 2) Esme doesn't have to constantly rely on Spencer and feel like she's in the way between him and Trina; and 3) Ace doesn't have to grow up in the Cassadine culture. What I'd like to see more of is Laura catching up on Spencer's behavior (example: his fights with Dex) and getting him the psych help he needs; Kevin interacting with Esme more and guiding her (he couldn't help his brother but he could help his niece); and Esme finding a best friend(s) who could truly see that she's changed, help her find her way, and stand up for her when people gang up on her.
Why is Esme folding the clothes in front of Spencer? If she grew up like me, we had a ringer washer and washer board and hung the clothes on the clothesline. Took them off and ironed them, she would have killed over in my day. She is trying to show off in front of Spencer, she needs help.

Spencer loves Laura so much that he was worried for her safety when she was away. He doesn't even care if Nikolas comes back , and yes he was sad and emotional when he realized that Nikolas had abandoned him and Ace. I think he's more sad for Ace than himself because Ace is a baby and Spencer is a grown man, so he was used to it. Laura really needs to give up on Nikolas and I know you never really give up on your child but Nikolas is different. Not just Laura but Alexis too they always think that he'll realize his mistakes and eventually make the choice , but he does the same thing over and over again. When will enough be enough for Laura perhaps when Nikolas actually puts Spencer in the hospital or something. He has already caused emotional damage now he has to do some physical harm in order for Laura to really say I'm really done trying to defend you to Spencer and everyone else.

I wish someone would suggest Spencer go see a mental health professional. He has so much trauma that he needs to work through - not bottle away. How does Kevin not see him struggling, espec when it comes to issues surrounding Nikolas?
💯 🎯 facts. Even though I love that he can talk to Trina, Spencer needs an outlet to talk about his relationship with his father. Trina can’t be his only safe space. The only reason he’s latched on to Ace this hard is because he’s compensating for his abandonment issues.
I miss when the show actually had that. They used to tell good stories around mental health. Now they act as if therapy doesn’t exist. Not only would it be great for character development, but it’s a useful storytelling tool. It would allow for tons of exposition and pov…I want this for Trina too.
@@nfgc86 I agree. It’d be way better for storytelling. Sometimes I feel like certain characters are one dimensional. GH typically focuses on moving the story along. It’d be interesting to showcase why certain characters do what they do via better character development.
@@goodmusiq3539 Couldn’t agree more. I’ve seen a bit of discussion around that lately for gh. Frank and C/D seem to prefer plot focused storytelling instead of character focused. I think the show as a whole has suffered bc of that approach. There’s no reason why some of these characters should be lacking in pov. Spencer is featured in more episodes than anyone in his age group and has been since NAC came on. Yet we rarely get him explicitly talking about his motivations. And it’s only gotten worse since Cam went off screen.
Same with Trina. Hers has improved, but that took months of fans making noise about it (and yes, I credit fans for doing that )…and then there’s Esme, who at least had Ryan to work off of pre amnesia. But now, it’s nothing. I don’t know (or really care at this point) what her mindset is and what makes her tick. A better written show would give you those character moments. Not gh.

Can't stand when Laura always takes up for Nicholas and makes excuses for Esme. It's as though she doesn't see how much Spencer is hurting. Laura please don't forget what Nichloas and Esme did. At this point in this storyline , it doesn't matter who Ace belongs to, the fact remains the same, Esme and Nicholas has sex, period. How can FV and the writers old or new want Spencer and Esme together. Redeeming Esme is craziness at its worst. She never lost her memories and that is perfectly made clear in the scenes that she was in starting from the moment that she was brought to the hospital. Yes FV, I watched and rewatched every single scene this weekend.What this dizzy chick did was fed off everything that was said to her, starting with Dante saying that she was going to jail for what she had done and she used everything that was fed to her to her advantage and and she is still doing it.
FV, why would you want to redeem her and breakup Trina and Spencer. These two put gh back on the map and broke a racial barrier of interracial relationships on gh. Again, Why would you want to do this.

@@dorothylindsey5175 You know what Dorothy, FV does not do any of the things that are logical and that can resolve some of the mess that his storyline has created. It almost seems as though he is throwing random stories together where he creates all of the controversies and none of the solutions that will get him past the controversies. All he does is use Sprina's popularity to create plot and stories for all of the out-of-work soap opera actors that he favors. If we can see through all of that shenanigan, so can the other fans. On that basis, these obvious games that he plays with Sprina's popularity will backfire, and he just may find himself out of a job.
FV seemed to have forgotten that soap operas are an endangered species. They are no longer anywhere near as popular as they used to be. We are living in a world of the information super highway where people can push a button and type a few words on their electronic gadgets anywhere in the world, and they come face to face with their favorite show in a matter of seconds... and the choices are unlimited. The point that I am trying to make here is that, given all the choices that people have, they don't ever have to spend their time watching a soap opera day in and day out that drags on for months. The world is not that patient anymore, given the unlimited choices at their beck and call. So, FV should consider it an honor and a privilege that they are those of us who still give our time and energy to the dying breed called soap operas, and he should act accordingly. We don't have to watch daytime soap operas when we can get the instant gratification that exist in the night time soaps
We do not have to sit through a million episodes of any show any more hoping for a satisfactory ending...we can just turn the channel and instantly switch off a favorite show for something else that aims not to waste our time and energy. FV does not know how lucky he is to still have people in this world who put up with the dragged out stories of daytime soap in a world of instant gratification. He should stand up and take notice of the fact that we will not always be that patient, and, that there will come a time when he has to listen to the fans and pay attention to what they are saying about the storylines. FV takes it for granted that we will always be here to put up with his non-sense, but that is not the case. When people put their foot down and say enough is enough and the complaints starts to come in droves, FV will not have to worry about his job any more because there will be no more GH left on air. FV, in case you did not know, soap operas are a fan driven show that will only exist as long as the fans favors them. If you chose to do nothing with our favorite characters but hinder the development of their story, we will respond in kind and tune out...then where will you and your soap opera be...off air, I gather.

Well actually she didn’t try to kill him. Nikolas threatened to take Ava’s daughter Avery away and that’s when he started to come at Ava, and before he could hurt her….she hit him. She must’ve hit him hard enough because he was knocked unconscious, but she wasn’t trying to kill him….she was trying to defend herself from him attempting to harm or kill her.
Nicholas can come whenever he wants to and expose Ava but he decides to be a deadbeat again, just like the first

Idk I get the feeling that GH/FV are set on making Nikolas into the next Cassadine villain. They don't really have any villains on the show anymore, and with Victor/ Helena gone, they need someone to bring the drama, and drive story. Nikolas is a good candidate for that task. Valentin was supposed to be "that guy", but that clearly failed miserably. I hope I'm wrong, but since FV took over, he's pushed the character to the dark side as we saw toward the end of TC's run.

Nicholas Chavez is such an amazing actor. It’s like he reverted back to when he was a child and found out his father had left him the first time.
Now that our weekend in NYC is over I'm going back to skipping over these Laura's house with "Esme and Spencer checking on Ace" scenes and will only watch Spencer & Trina exclusively. I can't with this anymore. I needed this storyline to be over months ago. So I will have to block it out until it actual is.
I agree with you I just recently started watching GH because of Spencer and Trina and I was on edge about when they would finally be together since the day he met her that is all Spencer wanted. Now they are together I will not be able to go back to the for the next 18 years they have Esme in their face because she has a thing for Spencer and doesn't want Trina to have him. Didn't we just get done with this storyline that ended with Trina going to trial for something she didn't do because Esme set her up? Come on now the writers need to do something better they are at JaSam level bring on the adventure, the love, and the passion I believe that SPRINA (NAC and Tabyana) can handle it.

Sasha was pregnant and went into labor and later lost her baby. She thought she was locking up Joss & Trina and may have killed her adopted parents for her inheritance. Esme didn't want any friends, her mission by Ryan was to destroy Nicholas and Spencer was the bait. Now she wants Spencer to be her man. She is crazy just like Ryan & Heather.

I’m not concerned that we’ll get a repeat of the show trying to pull a bait and switch with Esme. I do believe spencer loves and is dedicated to Trina. I think where the concern comes in is HOW the gh creative team will choose to present this story…. Will we go back to esme and spencer having 2-3x the alone time together compared to him and Trina? Are we going to start seeing outsiders comment again on how raising a baby brings ppl close? Will Spencer continue to be overly friendly with esme?…I’ve said it on here before and I’ll say it again, gh spent 2 years building trust with the audience only to torch it this summer. It makes fans, myself included, watchful of everything, both good and bad….a scene as simple as Spencer wanting to put his brother down for a nap becomes about everything BUT that when trust isn’t there with audience. That’s GH’s fault. And I don’t blame anyone for side eyeing anything within this story.

@@flacagonzales Esme angst is most definitely stale. As far as “what happens after NYC”, it’s been like an hour in port Charles time. But they basically warned us while they were in bed that last day what we were coming back to. She talked about being worried about Curtis and he mentioned not wanting Ace to feel abandoned. So here we are…I’m just praying we get some forward movement over the next few weeks. I think the initial response to these clips, from me included, though I’ve softened a bit, is “Lord, more of the same mess”.
But we have a lot of road in front of us and their relationship has been solidified. So I’m willing to see how things unfold. Especially with Nikolas possibly coming back.

Every time Spencer sees Esme, he sees his dad on top of her. It is sick and Laura should know this. Spencer sees Trina and she is his everything and she is so thankful for what he did for her in NYC. Esme once upon a time said that Spencer was not man enough in the bedroom like his dad Nicholas. With Trina, he was satisfied with her love and that he finally was her man, and she was his woman. Esme never gave her all to Spencer, but our girl Trina gave her all to him and he felt it all through every fiber of his body. In NYC, they both mesh together as one. Esme is nasty and she thinks she can get Spencer back. Trina has his heart and Spencer has her heart. Their love lit up NYC and he was the happiest man ever.

Does General Hospital have the Balls to wrap up this Esme story? Other channels see through Esme, and they are tired of it. I am tired of other channels saying they had their romance, and you have to expect them to go through trials. All the time they have known each other (drama here and drama there). Esme laughed about using Spencer to her dad, that is evil. Stop trying to redeem her, she is evil and stop having her use Ace to get what she wants.
In this storyline with Esme, Spencer and Ace, I wish they'd just do a DNA test that proves Ace is not a Cassadine after all so 1) Spencer could move on with his life and not obsess over Ace; 2) Esme doesn't have to constantly rely on Spencer and feel like she's in the way between him and Trina; and 3) Ace doesn't have to grow up in the Cassadine culture. What I'd like to see more of is Laura catching up on Spencer's behavior (example: his fights with Dex) and getting him the psych help he needs; Kevin interacting with Esme more and guiding her (he couldn't help his brother but he could help his niece); and Esme finding a best friend(s) who could truly see that she's changed, help her find her way, and stand up for her when people gang up on her.

Spencer loves Laura so much that he was worried for her safety when she was away. He doesn't even care if Nikolas comes back , and yes he was sad and emotional when he realized that Nikolas had abandoned him and Ace. I think he's more sad for Ace than himself because Ace is a baby and Spencer is a grown man, so he was used to it. Laura really needs to give up on Nikolas and I know you never really give up on your child but Nikolas is different. Not just Laura but Alexis too they always think that he'll realize his mistakes and eventually make the choice , but he does the same thing over and over again. When will enough be enough for Laura perhaps when Nikolas actually puts Spencer in the hospital or something. He has already caused emotional damage now he has to do some physical harm in order for Laura to really say I'm really done trying to defend you to Spencer and everyone else.
My new favorite thing about these types of scenes is going to be watching Kevin’s face, 😂. He sees through the BS with Esme.
