My friends I have the Honour of announcing that in 2013, the world's first 1/10 scale, ALL METAL 8x8 Military off-road truck the "CD15821", in Capo China was born. The cost of this vehicle is approximately $2500.00, depending on conversion rates. This is a limited edition truck and is NOT MASS PRODUCED. There are only 100 of them. I am fortunate to have the very first one - so now there are only 99.
I do not work for Capo, nor do I represent their Brand. Rather they contacted me, and informed me that they are long time fans of RC ADVENTURES, and wanted to see their truck on the show. I am the Lucky one who gets to show it off. Yes, it certainly looks like a TATRA 8x8 - but for licensing reasons, they could not call it a Tatra. So, after 9 Months of gruelling Design work and Engineering - these guys came out with something TOTALLY UNiQUE in the Radio Control Hobby world!! The CD15821 is UNLEASHED! This is a KiT, and does NOT COME with Electronics. You will need to supply the ESC, Motor, Receiver and Servo(s).

Yep...definitely think putting the lock outs and trans on a switch might be better than the sticks... But other than reversing your steering on radio and getting it outside... I would say it's pretty friggin sweet!

Like the build. If I may make some suggestions. Paint the esc to match the color of the truck. That way it will blend in. Put the battery in the lower part of the cab. Still gives you weight over the front and if the doors open that will give you easier access when doing a battery swap. Just some suggestions but your the expert. Thanks. Great job.

Great video brings back memories when i used to drive them, all i can say is watetproof it and see how much water you can forge , there built for it trust me i know and they were hard to get stuck...keep up the great work

I can't wait to see a running video of the mepic beast!!! It will be quite a day when that video is uploaded.
If you decide to start customizing that thing you should check out some of the truck trial videos where they actually race the full size trucks. That way you can see how the racers tend to set up their trucks.
That truck is absolutely SICK! It's been an honor to see it being built and now it lives!

I cant wait to see the video on the capo 8x8 with overkill and pinky if she can, go out on a off road adventure into the depth of the forest and maybe a river and some mud.
Just a wiring idea for convenience: place your esc and receiver in the back half of the cab. Wire the servos and motors though the floor of that back half. Put the switch on the dividing wall and the battery in the front half. This will allow you to access the battery and switch through the door and not have to remove the top.

The in the cab FPV idea would be awesome!! i think that you should change the dif lock and the transmission servos to the flip switches on the controller. an then either build a crane or buy one for the truck so then you could get poeple unstuck.
What more can I say, just totally AWESOME like always. Now for a scale RC Tank for the bed of the Capo :)

Haha luckily I watched until the very end because I was about to suggest that you put an FPV system in. A head tracking mount, proper rear-view mirrors, working windscreen wipers and maybe some interior would be sweeeet.

Hey Medic this build is AWESOME! However, if you were to lets say add an rc 4wd auxiliary hydraulic system that cold raise and lower a estes model rocket then you could raise it up to firing position and launch a rocket from this thing it would be the most mepic rc to date in my opinion!! Thumbs UP if you agree!!! Way to go !!!

I enjoy watching your videos. It shows that you take pride in every project, the attention to detail is fantastic. Im looking forward to seeing you take this truck through its paces. I have a few projects going on myself, im building a duratrax DXR8-E, PM'ing my 08' tmaxx 2.5 w/3.3 for the next years bashing season, setting up my brushless losi XXX SCT for indoor (running behind atm), and ill be getting a kyosho inferno race spec in the spring to replace my tired tmaxx.

Great job on the build...I drove by a National Guard Base where they park these 8x8s and it turns out the mirrors are up-side down..The smaller mirror or contour is on the bottom..And the larger one on the top...
