Welcome to the 7th episode of the Texas Plinking 1 MOA At 1,000 Yards Challenge. A monthly video series where I let 5 fans come out with their equipment and attempt to shoot a 10" gong at 1,000 yards in under 10 shots. If they hit it, they can use their remaining shots on the 5" gong. The 10" gong is worth 10 points and goes down 1 point after every shot. The 5" gong is worth 20 points and goes down 2 points after every shot. Once both are hit, the challenge is complete and each unfired round is an additional point. New episodes go live on the 1st Monday of every month!

Well, cause realistically, nobody with a brain is buying a .50 regardless. From weight to recoil and bullet cost it just doesn't make sense for a Civy.
      and as to the other....
Whatever "look mah, no-hands guy" was trying to prove, he fuckin did it.
Being honest?? We all know he was the most consistent shooter by a mile and if they went by groupings he'd have won.
Some say he got banned from the Olympics for partaking in performance enhancing stubs.

But it wasn't so much your accuracy that got me, which was fantastic, it was how you cycled that action... That's one smoooooth action. I can't even fathom your trigger impulse, words can't explain that at all. The whole display was amazing, what a way to overcome adversity. Thank you.

Didn't think I would actually watch the entire vid. It was a random RUclips recommendation... I really liked it so had to like and comment.

A bit hard to tell due to the adaptive shooting technique but the 2nd shooters rifle looks to be one of the smoothest actions I've seen to date .. iv got rifles from factory , semi custom and full custom, some smoother than others but his looks effortless.... may be time for another build .....

Love watching these I just wish you'd have the target camera directly behind the shooter so we have a face on the target not at a angle as you can't get a good idea on how close the misses actually are

Great show, great format. Max point total could be 118 if people were allowed to keep shooting after hitting a target. A bit more strategy involved: keep shooting or take the point per unfired round? Subscribed.

I kept seeing these on my RUclips home page. Finally gave them a shot about a week ago. Now I’ve watched all of them, plus a ton of your other videos. Love the content, and now you’ve got me wanting to scratch the 1000 yard itch even though there’s nothing near me where I can stretch the legs out on a rifle like that. Thinking about converting my diamondback AR10 to a long range gun. Bolt guns are cool, but there’s a gravity that draws me to the AR10 platform. Maybe one day if I get it dialed in I’d love to come out. Thank you for the awesome content and inspiring people to get out and challenge themselves.

I've seen dudes shoot 1/2" steel targets with 50 cal AMAX at 100 yards, it seems to powder and set the aluminum on fire, so there's a huge burst of light. But it really doesn't do anything to the targets.

That third gun is the old style of surefire 3 prong mount that rings every time you fire it.

amazing video. for all the people with a slim budget out there:
yes you can score a 1000y also with a relatively cheap setup. the guy with the sako s20 prooved that very well. humble guy, cheap scope and sako s20.
easily outshot some guys with very, very cost intensive gear...
