Ok so I found someone else that appreciates the mixing side of things. COOL! The first thing that came to mind is that they f up on the guitars, waaay too much distortion, making it sound muddy. A clean sharp tone would have been bad ass! Don’t get me wrong, song is dope but it could’ve been even better. I see or rather hear this a lot, sometimes less is actually more. I get it would have changed the vibe a bit, it would have sounded like Evanescence and Disturbed had a baby 😝 I do agree with your take on the vocals, it was different, me like 😎 Edit: forgot to mention raising the bass levels a bit. Clean and sharp as well. The riff is so cool but it get lost in the mix

Two singers, one who sings with a melodic and beautiful voice, the other who augments the choruses with a chaotic and rageful screaming. Their physical structure of the song mirrors what I think of when I think of systems. Part beautiful flow with all components working in harmony, the other a chaotic entropy that brings disorder and stands in contrast to the harmony. Eastern spiritualists talked about this out a very long time ago. I love the themes of manipulation, control and the corrupt nature of systems in this song. Loss of autonomy and freedom. This isn't just music, it's an important discussion around the imbalance of power and it's impact on marginalized people.
