This is hands down the most impressive technical A500 demo I have ever seen. Mind blown.
Esto y OCS batman group 😉
1985 Amiga 1000 with RAM expansion runs this at full speed. 36 years old. Thats like an 80 year old bench pressing 200kg.
50 times a per second.
The art direction and coding skills to get this kind of visuals is insane, hats off to you geniuses.
Perfect OCS/ECS Amiga Demo, it's look like an AGA Demo on an Amiga 500
10/10 Points. Technical impressive A500 Demo. I Love it.
Perfect OCS/ECS demos are "Hardwired" and "Desert Dream"; this demo is not it. Sorry. No wait, actually I'm not sorry.
as somebody told me// years ago you were limited by the hardware but these days the way hardware is getting better we be limited by our imagination
An incredible work of art and of dedication. Hands down !! All of this just taking 0.88 MB !! Any picture from a smartphone is several times bigger than this entire work.
This hands down is the most impressive Amiga demo I've ever seen.
Then you haven't seen very many Amiga demos, which is very sad.
I would like to send this demo to 1989 just to see reactions...
i cant believe that this runs on an actual normal stock amiga 500 with 1mb of ram!
this has to be with an turbo card/faster cpu or something! my mind simply cant accept it! :)
its like the optimatization level of a modern c64 demo .. im freaking blown away and apart and to dust! wow!
congratz guys! 6:40 how you guys used the stenzil vectors to generate the "mirroring" is geniuz level! im amazed!
Holy crap... Pure gold it is. If time travel was possible, I'd take it back to, say, 1992, circulate it on a copy party and watch it wreak havoc among the people. ;)
A new milestone on the Amiga!
Holy moly! A500 hasn't looked so good almost EVER.
This is my cup of tea! Code, gfx and music so damn good! The most brutal Amiga 500 demo ever seen. If it runs this smooth on an Amiga 500 it's mind blowing! Just one word more, Wow!
Ahh! I can see your comments now :D
I just watched it all the way through properly. It's mind-blowng.
maybe one day we should make something like this ;)
@@CaptainNow2 The coder of this demo is a lot more talented than me when it comes to demo coding. We do what we do best, games ;)
The most impressive Amiga demo technically speaking, would be so curious to review in-depth the source code :)
Actually it isn't: there are far more impressive Amiga demos, like for instance Bomb's "Motion Origin 2", or Unique's "Origin Part 3" (which can compete feature-for-feature with any contemporary PC bucket demo), or Oxygene's "Vision", or Capsule's "Phase One", or The Black Lotus' "Captured Dreams", or Darkage's "Neo", or The Black Lotus' "Starstruck"... The effects in this demo have been done before, people just forgot (or didn't have a clue in the first place).
@@AnnatarTheMaia how those demo looks nice but they are running on AGA whats makes hologon unique is that it runs on a raw Amiga 500
@@ThePat123456ify the A500 has 32 color registers, can do 64 colors in EHB mode and 4096 in HAM mode, and has 640 x 512 resolution. That's a lot of hardware power. How the hell is that demo unique?
@@AnnatarTheMaia anyone that programmed raw amiga 500 (no aga) demos can appreciate how Bifat pushed many limits in this demo. U compared it with aga demos which is like comparing games on Playstation 2 with games on Playstation 5
@@ThePat123456ify that's right, and I know what I did! What exactly has been done in this demo which hasn't been done before on an OCS Amiga? This ought to be good...
Amazing OCS flex. What an incredible command of the machine The Electronic Knights are demonstrating here. Truly a DEMO in the best sense of the word.
Loving the stencil "reflections", so convincing and slick, especially on the platonic solids. The great choice of envionments and colors just adds to the effect.
The torus later in the demo just has me "ok I thought I had a good guess how they did it, and it was ingenious, but now I am at a complete loss again."
6:00 proves PS1 can go eat a bag of floppies. Ok, now I am just nostalgic and salty.
Edit: The motion blur in 4:00 is also a huge wtf, I just realized. WOW!!!
Just WOW!
Damn. This makes me proud to be an Amigan.
Impressionné par cette démonstration de techniques, bravo, c'est très propre !
Amazing demo, the 3d is so cool.
Czułem dokładnie to samo, gdy pierwszy raz oglądałem Nexus7... Coś niesamowitego.
Best Demo on an OCS Amiga ? Have you guys even seen Eon by TBL I wonder. Music and direction is a bit too repetitive for my liking but this sure is a close 2nd place. Damn good looking OCS demo i was totally unaware of. Thanks for uploading
That's amazing. Absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing.
music's got a nightmarish Metroid vibe - love it!
The moment you actually question the reason for owning an A4000 ..... seeing your A500 running this demo next to it.... from one disk non the less.
*edit* Another Atari owner watched and got mad .
Amazing this on an OCS Amiga, brilliant music track as well 👍
Really Impressive! Congratulations. I can't understand how you do it!
Awesome!
Great stuff!
1 thumb down on 02/21. The first Atari guy just watched it.
Incredible, A1200 quality & speed on an A500.
Damn! Impressive!
Superior Amiga demo! All fits extremly well gfx, sound, demo,.. 👹
OMG!
Szzcun dla kodera...
OCS? WTF??? 😎
A true masterpiece!!
Great!
Amy forever.
Upd: wtf oO
;) Damn.
To put it in some kind of reference : My Internet connection has more bandwidth than the CPU on an Amiga 500 has to RAM(!!!!). The latency is shittier though :D
wow
What's the minimum amount of RAM required for this demo?
512KB chip and 512KB fast. The sole reason of awesomeness is making demo run on stock A500 without accessories.
@@playnochat Thanks for the info
ANd nOw dRaw LevEL wiTh tHis, Atari ST. MUahahah
Demo wy.. w kosmos...
Jak to na a500 zrobione to niech RTX3090 SIE w d.. pocałują...
Bloody hell...
Technically very impressive but this style of end of 90s PC demo like is not my taste at all.
