Hormone blockers can also be used, again under medical supervision. Each case needs to be examined and diagnosed depending on individual circumstances, without being clouded by politics.

Presumably, her clinical psychologist has established this, and that is why her Consultant Dr has prescribed estrogen. Now that is out of the way, there are pros and cons with transitioning MtF pre-pubescent. On the plus side, the 16 yr old will not have developed physical traits belonging to a male, and her voice will still be female. She will look similar to her girlfriends at school, ie, female. On the minus side, she will probably is / become sterile , and will not produce sperm for a baby later. Is your friend considering SRS (bottom surgery, which is irreversible)? Transitioners are not drag queens as some people seem to think. They are trying to mitigate gender dysphoria which if left unchecked, can leave then feeling empty, lost, depressed and even suicidal.
I was in a similar situation. After my neighbor cought me stealing her panties, she told my mom. After the neighbor went home mom and I sat down and talked. She told me that she really enjoyed finding out that I loved to wear panties. She took me shopping later that day and bought me some really cute lingerie. Then she let me pick out a really pretty dress. After that we went shopping for makeup. After we got home I got all dressed up for my mom. I really enjoyed it when my mom helped me put on makeup.

Omg as soon as I met him I fell deeply in love with him. After about six months of dating he proposed and I said yes. I will never forget my wedding day. It was so perfect. Mom helped me get dressed. She did my nails and makeup and my hair. The best part is when my mom walked me down the aisle and gave me away to my future husband. I felt so adorable in my beautiful white wedding dress.
