I'm really enjoying this. Mickey's Toontown is often underlooked at Disneyland, and most videos that explore the park just skip over it, go on Roger Rabbit, and that's it. No exploration or details.
I haven't thought about it a whole lot, but after seeing this, it made me realize that Disneyland actually has a lot of... well... garbage around it. Not guest garbage, but its own. Things like the Peoplemover track and the Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland tracks and tunnels everywhere. Tom Sawyer's treehouse even. But nowhere is it more prominent in Toontown. I often will not enter Toontown when I am at Disneyland. Usually I think it's because I just forget to, but now I think there might be an underlying reason. Toontown is cool. There's no denying that it is awesome. This was Disney's first major step upwards when it came to more specific theming in lands. I wasn't around when it opened, but I'm sure that it was so full of energy and life when it did. From what I have seen and heard, it seems like a shell of its former self. Honestly, it is sad, which is unfortunate because - on paper - this should probably be one of my favorite lands. I love Roger Rabbit. I love the idea of stepping into a cartoon world - not a world that comes from a cartoon, like Cars Land - but an actual hub of many different toons. I love the architecture as well, where everything is sort of alive. The Toontown that we have today is just not that. First of all, like I said, there is just Disney's trash remnants everywhere. The Jolly Trolley just sits; abandoned like the Peoplemover. Sure you can step inside it but it doesn't DO anything. You see the tracks and expect it to move but it doesn't. WHY, DISNEY?! At least the Peoplemover cars are gone, but THIS? Everything is in place! All you need to do is flip a switch! Then there's Chip and Dale's pit that has been covered with netting. Why not just level out the ground there a little bit, get the nets out and tear tiny wall out where you can look inside, and boom: that becomes stroller parking or a meet and greet area. Why don't Goofy and Donald meet in their houses like Mickey and Minnie? Why not let them live in their houses too instead of just having a boring area by the fountain or the food seating area? The second thing about Toontown is that it needs a new attraction. I know it can't be expanded out back. I know what's back there and why it can't be done, but can there at least be something to replace Gadget's? Even if it were at least a retheme of the coaster that would be okay. I have seen like two episodes of Rescue Rangers maybe in my life. Honestly, the first time I heard of Gadget's Go Coaster, I thought it sas supposed to be an Inspector Gadget themed attraction... and that was in 2015. Now, I'm currently 19 and an animation buff, so I knew ABOUT Rescue Rangers but it wasn't the first thing that came to mind when I heard of that coaster (I know that nowadays, Inspector Gadget actually does still play on tv but Rescue Rangers doesn't). My point is that it has to stay relevant. Besides that, though, there NEEDS to be an actual NEW attraction in Toontown. I've said it before: I wouldn't mind if Disney bullsdozed the Fantasyland theater and expanded Toontown southward so that we could have maybe an abridged version of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. It's perfect. It would be next to the Disneyland Railroad Toontown Station, so you got the train theming, AND it would be a Mickey attraction at Disneyland - where EVERYTHING started. I mean, Walt Disney's earliest description of Disneyland was "Mickey Mouse park." Why, after all these years, is Mickey's first attraction going to be in Hollywood Studios but nothing at Disneyland? C'mon folks! Toontown needs a revival, and it needs it SOON.... And that doesn't mean turning it into Star Wars expansion, Disney!!!! I want this to be one of my favorite areas in the park. I want this to be a place where I can one day take my Goddaughter... or even my future kids, and be happy that I got to spend time with them there while we were at Disneyland. It SHOULD be the best area on property to properly salute Mickey. It's unfair, unfortunate, and sad that it isn't in its current state.
@@caitlinn2826 Thank you. Someone higher up must have heard me, though, because one of my ideas for this I think has been confirmed with Runaway Railway coming to Disneyland. It may not be in the place I had proposed, but at least they are thinking of Toontown.
I think one reason why they leave “garbage” or remnants of old attractions around is because it’s too expensive to take down and put something else there. Also they might leave tracks behind just in case if they want to re use it later. Not the logic I would use but maybe the company’s logic 🤷🏻♂️
This is honestly one of my favorite lands at DisneyLand Ca idk why it’s just like the characters houses like Minnie’s is so cute and same with Mickey. Like you can go in and see the furniture and Minnie’s kitchen is so adorable like seriously
awwww I didn't know they got rid of the bouncy part of Goofy's house. I remember going in and jumping around, I thought it was cool. Luckily I just made the height restriction back in the day. Also, the little trolly not working anymore, I guess everything can't stay the same.
After watching a more recent video, I was able to configure that Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway now stands where the Five & Dime store used to be, plus a few other structures. It's a fun ride too!
Memories we can all say but sadly it’s gone or idk i haven’t been to Disney land in like four years take it to a peep that hasn’t really been to Disney land
At Gadget's Go Coaster the entire Coaster is made with bits and the found by Gadget. They're not oversized. They're actually regular size. You just shrunk to mouse size to ride it. Oh boy!!
I rember walking into Toon Town the first time (Disney Anaheim) i was 7.. i fell in love🤩😍 they preformed that one toon town song.. the ambiance.. the vibe.. it was all so super disney 🤩😍🥺 you can only find that magic @ disney.. i think we stayed there for like the rest of the day lol.. we had these week tickets so it didnt matter.. as long as this little minnie was happy lol
I just on google maps last night and noticed that beyond the toontown stuff i saw a few large buildings that are likely sensitive buildings, they look like warehouses, disney does a good job of making sure toontown hides those buildings from guests
Roger Rabbit is one of the rides that I really want to ride at DL. If I ever get there. I actually would book a trip tonight if I heard it was going away tomorrow.
I have spent a lot of time in tune town on 4 different trips and found a lot of the little hidden tidbits but I had NO IDEA how many there actually were!
This place blew me away sooo hard when I was a kid. Till this day, I believe that this place should be used as as inspiration for the design of every city. It saddens me that I won't be able to take my son, since this place apparently doesn't exist anymore?
My kids and I were watching this to get an idea of what we’d see in Toon Town. At first, we were loving all the fun little details to look for, but then we got bogged down with all the comments made about what wasn’t there anymore. It’s new to them and they don’t need to hear about what used to be there that they missed out on like bouncy houses or rope nets that were probably removed for their safety. We shut it off because it became a downer.
Hope you guys visit the big cheese himself, ME! Yay! So glad that you guys got visit my Home Town. I’m always in the mood in seeing friends coming to visit me at my place! I also live with my other friends Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy and a bunch more! Pete is such a big grump at times😅 Hope you had a great visit over at my town! I always walk down to City Hall! Great place to explore and meet me!
Fun Fact: You know how it says 'No Foolin Inc' at the bottom of Jiminy's window? That's obviously a reference to the TV shorts he made in the 50s: I'm No Fool. They're fun to watch, even though at least a couple or so of the safety tips Jiminy tells us are outdated. Ex: the bicycle one doesn't mention wearing helmets, for the obvious reason that bike helmets didn't exist yet.
Bruh if only they made an explorable Cog Building in here, or maybe make a ride that is a 5 story Cog building and you have to "throw" virtual pies at the cogs in said building. But seriously, R.I.P Toontown Online (2002-2013)
Hey Tyler, visited Toon Town with my then ~2.5 year old daughter back in 1996. I do not recall any Roger Rabbit attractions back then, and we spent almost the whole day in that land area - as she fell into a deep nap into the afternoon on Main Street USA. Mickey and Minnie's house's were super trippy and borderline bizarre. Thank goodness for the Kiddie Coaster and all the visuals. Great Vid.
I'm honestly a little frustrated with how much of Galaxy's Edge you can see from other lands and areas...wasn't a big thing with Disney that the lands were essentially hidden from eachother *really* well?
EpicBerserker Oh I totally get that, there was no way for it to be TOTALLY hidden. And I could be totally wrong and they could have all sorts of plans for hiding sight lines after construction. It just seems almost extraneous right now. It could change!
I agree with you, Erin. At least we can take solace knowing that for the most part, this is the only location in the park where Galaxy's Edge will really encroach.
It totally makes sense that you're a little frustrated but the plan is that the mountains (the part you can see from Toon town) are going to be simple rock peaks with no crazy futuristic stuff stuck on them so that if you're in Frontierland, any glimpses will look like an extension of the land that you're in. To some degree it will have the same effect in Toon Town since it will look far more organic once they are done with the rock work. Just imagine it as part of one of the old dessert scene cartoons :) Hope that little bit helps! Disney is thinking about it, it's just more jarring during construction. It might not be ideal sight lines, but maybe they'll add a little height to the hill facade too, who knows?
It's true that the visibility of construction is annoying but that's something they never really hide. They have a great plan to seam the land borders with immersiveness for sure!
I wish there was a way to become a citizen of Toontown.... Aw to heck with it I just want to be a toon in general! Where's a fairy godmother when you need one?
The Goat It surely is! It’s Magical and fun! You can see your favorite characters including me and the others, see the beautiful Sleeping Beauty Castle and watch the amazing fireworks they throw at night over the castle!! And the magic doesn’t end there! On the other side of the Disney Resort you’ll find Disney’s California Adventure! Where You’ll find Adventure at every turn! And there’s much more to explore!
I went to Disney when I was two and I went to Disney world recently and I really wanna go to Disneyland and just spend the whole day in toon town I would die to go in toon town
Aww, Toon Town is adorable! To anyone reading this, have a magical day sprinkled with pixie dust!
Right back atcha!
Bluescity1 Disney You too, blue! Have a extra Magical day from the Big Cheese himself!
Thank you!
Pixie dust is poison
Toon town is my favorite part of the park 😁🌈🫧
I'm really enjoying this. Mickey's Toontown is often underlooked at Disneyland, and most videos that explore the park just skip over it, go on Roger Rabbit, and that's it. No exploration or details.
It's a great place to look around! The gags are half the fun!
I love the look of Mickey's Toontown! The goofy and wacky style of the buildings and props makes me feel like I am actually in a zany cartoon world!
Me too
I love Toon Town!!!
thii2 ii2 2tupiid me too!!!
thii2 ii2 2tupiid Thank god that they didn’t destroy it

I wish the CEO of Disney could read this. All I can say is AMEN

I kinda want them to add Scrooge's Moneybin (like they were going to before the Star land and Toontown combination)
This is honestly one of my favorite lands at DisneyLand Ca idk why it’s just like the characters houses like Minnie’s is so cute and same with Mickey. Like you can go in and see the furniture and Minnie’s kitchen is so adorable like seriously
I work in Toontown so not gonna lie, I watched this video to see if I was in it lol. (I wasn't)
Toontown is kinda ghetto since the brawl.
maddiemoiselle employ?
maddiemoiselle are there cameos from roster rabbit ex. Toon patrol? Or is it just cartoonish stuff?
What I loved about ToonTown is how interactive it is!
Yes same here
Toontown 2024 is a far cry from what it once was.
I miss the og toontown
It was special to me as a 90s baby
awwww I didn't know they got rid of the bouncy part of Goofy's house. I remember going in and jumping around, I thought it was cool. Luckily I just made the height restriction back in the day. Also, the little trolly not working anymore, I guess everything can't stay the same.
TOONTOWN ROCKS! (mostly in-game)

I was just there, the toontown sign in the front is gone and it looks like they’re building something new.
At Gadget's Go Coaster the entire Coaster is made with bits and the found by Gadget. They're not oversized. They're actually regular size. You just shrunk to mouse size to ride it. Oh boy!!

Awesome video! would never have known about the small attention to details like the doorbells and things in windows etc

Loved this video because I haven’t been to DL yet and I miss WDW’s toon town so so much!
I miss toon town online
Good thing we have Toontown Rewritten
I have so many fond childhood memories of the original mickey’s toontown
was the best place to explore and play as a young kid
so much fun
I just on google maps last night and noticed that beyond the toontown stuff i saw a few large buildings that are likely sensitive buildings, they look like warehouses, disney does a good job of making sure toontown hides those buildings from guests
i miss Mickey's Toon Town at Disney World i don't know it's still there.
What? This comment makes no sense lol
It’s not still there and I miss it too
Adam Ferry it makes perfect sense😂
Roger Rabbit is one of the rides that I really want to ride at DL. If I ever get there. I actually would book a trip tonight if I heard it was going away tomorrow.
I love Roger Rabbit! The line and the ride are really immersive :)
So Cool!!!! Can't wait to get to Disneyland someday - thanks for sharing!!
I have spent a lot of time in tune town on 4 different trips and found a lot of the little hidden tidbits but I had NO IDEA how many there actually were!

A part 2 would be nice! :)
This tour is amazing 👏 😍 🙌 ❤️
Awesome video!

Mickey's ToonTown is one of my favorite Lands @ Disneyland Park!
Hey guys, great video ...I really enjoy your take on things, and nice inside info.. Thanks, I enjoy your work..
This video made me laugh a few times, thanks and keep it up!

so ironic calling mickey the big cheese since that’s the hardest cog in the toontown online game
Toontown had a game.
I played it on 2016.
8 zxot It’s still around and is still getting ipdated
8 zxot i still play it to this day, it’s frickin amazing
6:09 glad Roger is still there, he may be gone but never forgotten
1:32 they need some sound dampening in there to tone down the echoes
the people going here prob don't know about the legendary game based around it
Omg the ToonTown game was such a blast! I used to wrestle my siblings to get the the computer to play it! 😂
The water probably will change colors during night
17:49 the dress
So pissed Disney World got rid of this area! It was amazing!
California Disneyland still got it :))
Bowsprit, not mast head. The mast head is the highest point of the ship (on the mast)

I’ve gone to Disneyland so many times but I haven’t been to Toontown since I was a kid
3:00
Wish I could’ve seen this more, we only had a day so we couldn’t see everything and I wouldve loved to explore this area
I’m taking my girl to Disney next year when she’s 4 & I think she’ll love Toon town
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for this video it was entertaining ✨😊 and gave me abit more knowledge about Toon Town ✨😊 best wishes to you and your family 💕
Wow they really “nerfed” Toon Town.
I wish they didn’t get rid of toon town at Disney world. It’s such a fun little place!
Loved the details you showed us! Thanks Tyler!
Thanks for watching!

The nostalgia
I wish there was a way to become a citizen of Toontown.... Aw to heck with it I just want to be a toon in general! Where's a fairy godmother when you need one?
Amd the thing was.. in toon town i didnt even looked at the rides! I was all sucked up in the toons that were real life now
Never been to disneyland but looks real fun
Darth Coface me neither!!!
You should really go. The vibes you get are nice

Are they gonna have this in disneyworld
Is this still on California Disneyland? Because I heard that they got rid of Toontown on Disneyworld Florida
Yes, it still in Disneyland (:
Still there

This is based on the place in epic mickey verson called ostown
Also Toontown (online/rewritten) game
No it’s based off the 1988 Who framed Roger rabbit’s toontown
Mickey Mouse and the Rest of the Gang from the Parade of the Stars (2000-2005)
I play this game
What? This is a LAND, not a game.
he meant the game of Toontown Rewritten, which is a recreation of Toontown Online, Never heard about it?
amazing game, but the staff kinda sucks
OMG I MISSED THIS BUT I HATED THE GAME!!!!!!!!
- Venom
The cartoon man 👁👄👁
Toontown is different from Roger rabbit
I can't find my keys anywhere.
Did you search inbetween the sofa?
I like toon town but I still think it should've been converted to an entrance for star wars land
Hell no
