I made a bionic run ringtone for my phone. I also get a chuckle when my phone rings, and people who happen to be of our Generation (Generation Xer's) stop and take notice - some smile in knowing recognition. I tried to make a video of the sound effects to some military style music, used in a number of episodes in The Six Million Dollar Man.
sungod64 jrspot64 If you email me sometime, at mitzelplek5566@gmail.com, then I could oblige with a Bionic Ringtone I made using Steinberg Cubase Elements 7 LE AI Personal Music Production Software. I really loved that show - The Six Million Dollar Man.
Identity --- I loved the Bionic Man as well one of my favorite shows that and the hulk, too bad they never crossed over--- that would be an awesome fight!!!💪🤢👍
steve austin always had a bionic heart of gold to his fans including me who enjoyed watching lee majors as the six million man. truly a classic sci-fi tv show on abc and nbc networks.
To Brian,in the very first episode of steve running up the hill, the nurse did say that he us hardly breathing hard, that's when Rudy Wells replies and said that his lungs don't have to work as hard due to his bionic legs..But if you watch the episode when he's in the desert,it looks like he did struggle with it because he was a bit breathless at that moment. But the show was a hit for me while growing up and I'm forever watching it on youtube and regular t,v.
man! i love that remix of $6 millon-dollar man bgm, loved it when i was a kid and still till this day love the show LEE MAJORS BIONIC SUPER SONIC!!!!!!!!!
Ha ha .used to watch this when I was a kid .My pal Scot and me used to talk with American accents and race each other shouting Steve Austin a man barely alive .We can rebuild him ....
Es increible la influencia que este personaje inspiro en una generaciòn que siempre se acuerda del heroe que la ciencia hizo para el bien, en serio a muchos nos inspiro gran serie.
11 months later but hope you're still here, the reason is seen in the early ep "Little Orphan Airplane". It looks completely ridiculous as he's pushing a cart across a field at high speed like something from a Benny Hill skit. This was much better.
I played college football for Bowling Green. Watching Lee Majors 'run' before game time caused me to explode thru Ohio State University in an exhibition game. 126 yards. Mind you, I had an angry fullback and big guards blocking for me!
@@swayze1960 My mom promised to buy one fr me when I was a kid, she never did,I bought mine 40r 5 years ago, with that engineblock arm and in good shape. Not in package but I have got it. Had a chance to buy his enemy in box with 3 masks etc for just 18 euro, stupid stupid me that I missed the opportunity!
I know how this effect was done. Lee Majors was a promising american football player in college, but was injured and had to give the game up. But he was a very fast sprinter still. When they filmed this clip, the fence posts were a lot closer together than they usually are, so it gives the impression of Steve Austin really going for it, when Majors is sprinting full out. Made a lasting impression on me as a kid
I thought that they might be doing something like that too.... but when I was putting this video together I compared his height to the length of the fence boards which are about 10-12 feet.. so it's not that. More than likely they filmed him in high def at 1/4 speed on the camera, then played it back at normal speed and he's running 4x faster. Look at the trees in the background, they are in fact moving by at a speed totally consistent with someone running at 60mph or so. It was Very well done, especially for the late 70's.
***** you may be right, but I can remember an effects guy discussing it once. If I remember correctly, it wasnt something they could duplicate easily, so they went with the slo-mo. i may be wrong, but who cares.... its a kickass clip.
spideytracer Ah ok.. yes true. However they did it I'm sure it was not easy, especially at that time. When the new Six Million Dollar Man movie comes out it should look awesome with todays CGI.
here's what i thought they did. it seemed like a combination of undercranking the camera (6-12 fps or so), having lee run as fast as humanly possible (...which for lee majors was super fast...), and the fence posts took the mojo off the possible charlie chaplin effect - from seeing his arms swing faster than anyone could, and it becomes like watching an old zoetrope animation. it's an amazing clip and very clever. i remember in the pilot, there's a briefly clean shot of him as he kind of shoots out from frame right and comes closer to the camera, where the fence takes over and semi-obscures our view of him. but, you're right, this was THE effect that sold it to me as a kid.
Fantastic !!! I loved it !!! I'm a fan of Oliver Nelson's work on the series "The Six Million Dollar Man". I think the best song he did was that of the battle between Steve x Robot in "Day of the Robot".
That was in the very first regular episode of the series “Population Zero”. Dr. Bacon: how fast can you run 40, 45? Steve: I’ve hit 60. Dr. Bacon: 60!!! Oscar went all out…..
Lee Majors was perfect for the role. He is so charismatic (he still is in 2022)! He was an exquisite mix of power, control, and utmost precision as a runner. He looks elegant, impressive, strong, sexy, agile, and unstoppable when he runs in slow motion!
Lovely. Lee had the pretty boy looks but also a great running action. This show just had it all. Surprised the muppets in Hollywood haven't tried to make a film of this yet.
This is a really cool video. I remember seeing this when I was a kid and it was all the talk at school the next day, but...using simple math with each 2 fence posts being 16 feet apart (one being eight feet), Steve Austin is running just under 29 miles per hour.
I'm having a retro-TV-digging sesh on RUclips tonight...I can't get over how cool the intro to 6 Million Dollar Man is, and yes, this scene looks amazing. It's better even that the running sequence on Superman The Movie. How come they didn't adopt the above effect in the show, and instead used the shitty slo-mo version?
I'm not sure why they didn't do this all the time. There are a few other scenes where he is running at about 40-50 mph that look freaking fantastic. I recall hearing that people wrote in saying "we can't see what's going on", so they opted for more slow-mo scenes. Others have said that the effect was very hard to reproduce to where it looked this good and most of the time it came off looking fake, so they went with mostly slo-motion stuff. But to me and a lot of other people, it would have been well worth it to have then run fast, even if it didn't look as real. You can see a short clip of this other scene here "The Six Million Dollar Man: The Complete Collection" Trailer (PopMatters Premiere) Scroll to the 2:19 mark and watch the monitor in the lower left corner. Looks pretty darn good as well.
ALGUIEN TIENE FOTOS DE LEE MAJOR COMO THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN EN HD,, ASI, CORRIENDO Y QUE TENGA BUENA CLIDAD, NO IMPORTA QUE SE FOTOSHOP. NECESITO, PARA HACER UN CUADRO.
Hi, I was wondering if it would be ok to use a small portion of your Six Million Dollar Man Remix soundtrack please. I'm having to re-upload a Six Million Dollar Man GTA 5 video because of matching 3rd party content and a portion of your track would be perfect for the video. I understand if you say no, but if you agree I will give you full credit and provide a link to your channel and your video as well. Thank you for your time.
***** It's my guess that you would have to contact "Stiks 1969" since it's his reproduction of the sound track. He's got alot of old TV shows that He re-did the music on His RUclips Channel. But I'm no RUclips Lawyer by any means.
***** I asked Stiks 1969 for permission to use the music before I posted this. I asked a couple of times at least and never got a reply, so I just posted it giving him credit in the title. So if you have not done so already, I imagine it's not really an issue then.
Lee Majors took his job seriously, and wanted complete realism. They hopped him up on a special chemical cocktail that actually allowed him to run 60 mph for about 30 seconds. Unfortunately he was out of commission a month after the scene was shot but he made a full recovery from overexerting his body.
That's complete bullshit. The highest clocked running speed is Usain Bolt at 28 mph. If there was something that made a human run literally twice that speed and was kept that secret, they wouldn't give it to a goddamn actor for a TV show scene.
SpaghettiAttack Hollywood, like most aspects of our society, are controlled by global plutocratic elites via their massive international corporations. They often place clues to various secrets in television shows, and movies for their own amusement. So yes they would give Lee Majors a special chemical cocktail created by the Monsanto corporation that cost about 2 million an ounce. Something clearly the general populace couldn't afford anyway. Lee of course had to sign a confidentiality clause before being injected with the Speed Serum.
With two bionic legs but with only one bionic arm doesn't it stand to reason that he should be running in circles? His other normal arm would never be in sync with the rest of his bionic limbs.
Is it me or can you just watch this loop all day! Man, this brings back such great 70s memories 🥲
I can watch it all day
The Six Million dollar Man was and still is one of my favorite shows after 45 years
I'm 45 years old and to this day I still make the bionic sounds when lifting something heavy. LOL!
lol nice.
don't feel bad i am older and I still make the bionic sounds when i go to open the door

the best part of the intro, never get tired of watching it...
....I've watched this every day this week already - awesome vid!!!!!!!
He passed the same trees like 176 times
Jon K 178 actually.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Captain America would have been a nice challenge for Steve Austin.
Who else as a kid wished they could run this fast
This show was truly wonderful when I was a kid... Steve Austin is one of the best superheroes of all time!
Identity --- I loved the Bionic Man as well one of my favorite shows that and the hulk, too bad they never crossed over--- that would be an awesome fight!!!💪🤢👍
How many times have I watched the intro just to see this moment. lol Great post! Thanks.
I know what you mean.. I still sit here and watch it 20x or more in a row because I never get enough of it, it's so cool. Thanks.
+JediWitness with that music it's just so fly I can watch it 20 times 2
I could watch this for 3 hours straight!
Nothing Mark Wahlberg does with CGI effects will top this. Sometimes organic special effects are the best.
Nothing beats the original. Besides....I'm not a Mark fan.
Mark who?
Lee Majors also have the perfect running Style
This video could not be any more awesome than it is! Thank you for posting!!!
The Six Million dollar Man was the BEST!!
Yep one of my fav shows back in 70's.

Verdade!
Someone needs to make the 10hr version of this 😆🏃
No one can take Lee Majors spot when it comes to this.
awesome!! why did they use slow motion in the show? here the illusion of steeve running at 60 mph is just perfect.

Awesome version of the theme with the bionic sound effects.

in truth 3/4 his unbionic arm would not have moved as fast has his legs and other arm ...nit-picking but such as is truth
