See, I've discussed many points in this video considering all the sections of students. This video is from my point of view. Final decision is on you to drop.
there are many examples where ppl have dropped a year and cracked good IITs and NITs you shouldn't generalize students there was a person who got 28k in 12th and 70k in drop year (mains) but he got AIR 36 in advanced in no ways there can be an improvement of 1.5x if someone is not serious in drop year he might not even improve (might even go down) but if someone is really determined he/she can improve to 3x or even more

I don't want to crush ur dreams but I also got 168 marks in mains last year taken a drop and gotten 190 marks not much improvement. Before I was also thinking same as you guys but life has given me a good slap after I had not improved much even after a drop. I will highly suggest you to take a college and do studies just bring 95++ marks every semester. That's enough to get a good job with handsome money( if I would have known this I would have never taken a drop.)😥
I did not do any coaching in 11th and I'm currently in 12th ( still no coaching ). I feel betrayed by the education system as I spent a lot of time learning more about microcontrollers and practical stuff rather than JEE studies so I could explore my passion, while my friends were busy going from one coaching to another I was acutally learning more about topics experimentally for which I really took science for. It might make sense for some people that their children go for coaching 9-5 in an integrated course but it does not to me. School life part is missing from their lifes, they just have one passion to go to "IITS", they talk about nothing more than that and don't mature and later even after going to IITs use up non science jobs.

Ye sab mat suno my advice to next aspirations kuch nahi hoga if u have 40%-50%etc you can improve well no matter where you take drop...if you feel you have not given your best then go for drop simple .... I regret listening to this advice don't do the same mistake as mine

Even if a student doesn't qualify for iit jee and he has taken a drop in kota he will never regret for it .Because the things taught here will not be taught anywhere.I am not cutting your lines sir but I am keeping a different view
No I mean there s less meaning in saturation point It varies from person to person If he could have reached 8k rank as u said I think If he d studied, more seriously then I m sure he d have crossed 3k rank But something lessened or kept his dedication to neutral It all revolves in our mind The thingy about saturation point of intelligence doesnt necessarily mean iq only But it also depends on ur capacity to put on work,,determination etc Example myself Who is having a sedentary lifestyle(just last 2 weeks prep 5hr /day ) But still getting 98+percentile in jee mains I cant even imagine a saturation point As einstein said we are all not same Thts true too but we should try swimming like a fish instead of climbing a tree hard Choosing the mode of career is very impt Some may work their ass off but still get only 8k rank in jee adv But some others may lead easy life and get upto 8k or 7k in jee adv But exceptionally rarely 3k or below Goin beyong 3k and 2k requires definite hard work !

Can I take a drop. My jee 2019 percentile = 83. My mhtcet 2019 percentile = 96. Can I take it now I can also. Awail the EWS reservation in both exams. Initially in this year I did not awaild it. So can I think of it.
I think you should take a drop for mht cet and not for jee bcz as you belong to open category a really good score is really important for a NIT so if you can score in mht cet 2020 then you can also take a partial drop and prepare for mht cet

Ye sab mat suno my advice to next aspirations kuch nahi hoga if u have 40%-50%etc you can improve well no matter where you take drop...if you feel you have not given your best then go for drop simple ....

Even if a student doesn't qualify for iit jee and he has taken a drop in kota he will never regret for it .Because the things taught here will not be taught anywhere.I am not cutting your lines sir but I am keeping a different view

It varies from person to person
If he could have reached 8k rank as u said
I think If he d studied, more seriously then I m sure he d have crossed 3k rank
But something lessened or kept his dedication to neutral
It all revolves in our mind
The thingy about saturation point of intelligence doesnt necessarily mean iq only
But it also depends on ur capacity to put on work,,determination etc

Some may work their ass off but still get only 8k rank in jee adv
But some others may lead easy life and get upto 8k or 7k in jee adv
But exceptionally rarely 3k or below

im in a very bad situation. i qasted my lockdown and i dint even went to coaching and in my college i was promoted to mains section in feb so i dint get much exposure to mains. i m not perfect with my 11, 12th portion and mains is just 2 months away. i dont have any hopes on mains but my target is to get into bits. bits is my dream college but there is is only 2 months left for bitsat. so i dont think i can make it. my plan is it drop a year and try hard to crack mains and try to get seat in nit or bits. but everyone in the internet r saying not to drop which is making me rethink about dropping.

I think you should take a drop for mht cet and not for jee bcz as you belong to open category a really good score is really important for a NIT so if you can score in mht cet 2020 then you can also take a partial drop and prepare for mht cet
