I’ve made one of these for my grandaughter & they are adorable!! You did an Awesome job! For the snap area you can use some heavy interfacing or also sew in some twill tape to make it more stable for snaps!!! I did enjoy your videos. It’s good to see the younger ladies sewing for kids again. Handmade trumps store bought any day!!
Hi! Could you make a video about your serger & what settings you prefer for which projects/fabrics? I have a brother 1034D & so far, I’ve only used it for knit fabrics. I’d love to know what settings you prefer for woven fabrics.
I love the way you do the long videos. I know better how your putting the outfit together, The romper is cute. My mother made both my daughters in the 80's rompers like that. I will have to make some myself. I don't know of any little girls to make it for. That's ok, I have a doll that will fit it and she's naked. Guess I better make one for her quick.
Finally I finished watching ur video. My little girl turns 3 next Monday. I’m definitely thinking of making her something like this. Thanks for sharing 🥰
Omg!! So beautiful!💕🍩🍭 Thank you Chachi! Can you let us know more about your business and how you started? I had my little girl 3 years ago and I’ve always been wanting to make her tutus and I’ve made bows a few times! You definitely have motivated me to learn and start making all these beautiful projects!🥰💕
I have a question. Did you get the pattern for the pink and black ruffled skirt on etsy also? Do you make it like this one but with thicker ruffles? Thank you ♥️
my liam is 21 but when he was little like your liam he was on the go all the time lol ,, also you mentioned your kids get hungry after school do your older children help out like maybe make sandwiches or something to eat for them all to help you out because your so busy
Casandra, this romper came out so adorable! I absolutely love it. I especially love that you do use your surgery for finishing. It does make the entire thing look so much more professional. So any possible edges that were exposed you have finished off with the interlocking seam and it just looks so good. I do have one question, and I don’t know if you mentioned it in part one of the video or not. I don’t remember. But could you have also done layering on the ruffles of the diaper cover so that you would have the donut fabric with the pink fabric peeking out in a similar way that you did the ruffles on the straps? I don’t know if the pattern itself indicated that as an option, but even if it didn’t, since you did it for the straps I’m sure that you would be able to know how to do it for the diaper cover, and I think that would just add that further interest to break up the donut fabric pattern on the tush. I have one request to how you do your videos - this came up only because my husband, who has been home because of the pandemic, was in the same room as me when I was watching the video on my iPad and he was trying to watch television. You do your narration, and you also play music when you’re just going through a stretch where you’re sewing but not narrating. When you do that, the volume of your music is much louder than the volume of your voice, because you have such a very soft speaking voice. I don’t have a problem with your speaking voice, but the difference is very dramatic, so every time the music came on, my husband would give me a look because it was so loud, and I’d have to quickly turn down the volume. Then, when you would start talking again, I wouldn’t be able to hear you, and I would have to turn the volume way up again. Is there a way that you can produce the video so that your speaking voice and the volume of the music are about the same? That is my only request. Other than that - FANTASTIC! UTTERLY FANTASTIC!!
Cachi’s Customs I love watching your videos. You always have this sense of calm about you. Or at least it seems that way. You make what looks very challenging, very possible. I am in no way a seamstress, and yet I would be willing to try to tackle this. I also watched your two-color tutu video, and I really like the way you did that. That was great. I haven’t tried to do one of those yet.
I am making this but adding a tutu skirt instead of the ruffle butt. Would you attach the tutu and romper bottom the same way as if it wasn't thereor would you add the tutu after you stitched the bodice to the bottom. Just a question to get an idea of how to put it all together.
sorry i dont understand how to cut the bottom ruffles and the straps. how much longer should they be compaired to the flutters. i know it needs to be squared but i dont understand the lenght it should be, could you help me please
@@CachisCustoms ive been thinking about it. Ive seen alot on etsy and also diy on how to make it yourself using freezer paper and fabric and other vinyl.
I loved this outfit I will start to make some for my niece I have two questions how much do you sell them for ? what is the little tool call that you used for the bottons?
I have not mover my settings on the serger , it’s as it came on the box , the only thing is I removed the left needle to make smaller seam , so I used one needle instead of 2 , Olin the manual it tells you how to remove it
Oh a long time !! Mainly because I have to record and explain, I had to take breaks in between also because I have 3 kids , if you notice I’m wearing a different shirt in part 2 lol
I am new at sewing, but when you were making the bias tape, why didn't you cut the material on the bias. As I could see you just cut straight material? I have watched other videos and they say to cut on the bias. I think it is an awful waste of material, but it is supposed to "curve" with the material you are sewing. Any help here??

And thank you for pointing that out to me about the video !!!!

Mikki Wachtel thank you !! ❤️
Anyone can do it !!
Hey Cassandra! I’m trying to make this romper and I was wondering how you make the small serges on your ruffles? Mine are so wide!
You have to use one needle
Take off the left needle
Cachi’s Customs thank you!!

100% cotton
I absolutly love your videos so adorable! What's that tool called you used for the clips ?
Idk 😫
I bought it at Walmart, where the sewing stuff is at
Woow thank you so much for this tutorial. Where can I find this pattern?

Do you finish the top of the top ruffle? Or leave it as a raw edge? I'm making a ruffle bum romper now and am trying to figure that part out
😍🥰🎀💖
Did you use 100% cotton for your front bodice please? The embroidery looks so neat x
Yes 100% cotton 😊
Do you add a tag to your dress or sell just like that? Love your video!!
No I don’t add a tag ☹️
I want to tho !! I seen a website that makes them for you

Awesome! How long did it take you to make this from start to end?

Casandra how long did it take you from start to finish?
Oh man it took me a long time
I’d say 2 hours 😓
Hi! Do you prewash the fabric?
No
What kind of fabric is recommended to hold the shape
I used 100% cotton
How do i purchase patterns
On Etsy , I have a link in the description

Worked out fine
If your sewing straight like she did, you don't need to cut on the bias. It's when you have curves you have to sew that you cut on the bias.
