      eating a forktailed catfish like that is not advised for the future have known a lot of people that end up in hospital from eating them, eeltailed catfish however a beautiful eating and safe! our forktails are not basa or silver cobbler!

    • @Andysfishing
      @Andysfishing  7 лет назад

      Why do you say that? What happened to people eating catfish? There is nothing wrong with them. And yes Basa and Silver Cobler are other names for Catfish, these are marketting ploys by the big supermarkets.

    • @nnswfishing
      @nnswfishing 7 лет назад

      There's absolutely nothing wrong with eating catfish as I said the eeltailed varieties are delicious and highly sort after and yes silver cobbler is a common name give to some forktailed which are completely eatable but there is also another species of cobbler called a ln estuary cobbler (which is what you caught) and are seen bycatch and often release or dispatched by commercial fisherman in northen NSW due to increased risk of ciguatera toxins being present, and basa if common marketing name for multiple fish including eeltailed catfish and a Vietnamese cousin to the barramundi

      Haha! No, this is a goofy weirdo: images.sobadsogood.com/22-gifs-of-stupid-people-in-ridiculous-infomercials/1.jpg. Keep it up either way. I'm in the northern US and don't have any of the species you fish for, so it's a nice breath of fresh air. Nice to see multi-species anglers instead of all the vloggers chasing largemouth bass all day.

      Cool. Yeah, I hear you. I can't fish for one species for more than about 2 weeks, I just get bored.

    Id love to see some more shellfish catch and cook, but just any fishing trips with cooking at some point is fine by me heh

      I especially love when you cook what you catch. I always dream that I could do that, and catching my own food gives this sense of freedom. Well, the idea of catching my own food.

    Wherever I go fishing, I always remember to "Leave only footprints". When I'm done for the day, I put any trash I find in my bait bucket. Every little bit helps.

    Great vid Andy. I'd love to get up the Clazza with you and Darren for some really big bass. A friend of ours "Ze German" pulled a 61 one trip and all the rules for big go out the window
