No, they're their own minority. And came from the very early slavic people. In the middle age they were mostly called "Wenden" which has since become the "Sorben"

@@tonyspark245 Actually, the Serbs migrated from Lausitz to the Balkan region in the late 6th/early 7th century. Roughly, what is today Lausitz, in the historical sources was called White Serbia (white having the meaning of "pagan"). So, the early Slavs called "White Serbs" are the ancestors of the modern Sorbs in Saxony and Brandenburg and Serbs in Serbia. Both ethnic groups kept the "Serbian" name. Also, in both Sorbian dialects, the Sorbs call themselves Serby/Serbja. Sorbs use the term "South Sorbs" (Južni Serbja) for Serbs, while Serbs call Sorbs "Lužički Srbi" (Lausitz Serbs). Over the course of time, the two groups of the same Slavic tribe split and ultimately had a completely different history. Today have nothing in common apart from the name. Wenden was a much wider term and applied to a group of various West Slavic tribes that were in contact with Germanic tribes. It wasn't only Sorbs.
