Jonathan Philmore i had the 4000w champion and it is loud but you get used to it quick after driving for a long ass time yoi are usually too tired to care....the honda 2000w is supposed to be a lot quieter and could power pretty much the same stuff
I couldn't tell Tim if that was the extended length van. It looks like it might hold 3 pallets turned sideways? Informative video. I liked his bunk setup.
Hey guys, great info...One thing I missed....What is the wheel base of the van.....I'm looking at a used sprinter with a wheel base of around 144"....Again always great info.....
I really want to get one of those front Bars for my Transit. They look a little weird, but after you hit a deer you will be happy to have something on the front to protect everything. One deer can cost three thousand and up. Well worth getting the bar.
I have research the ones on your friends van and they are very good. I prefer those ones because you don't have to remove the bumper. I like the look of the van and even though the full on bumper replacement is better, it is much heavier. I will go with those bars instead.
That deer guard is an excellent idea. However, look at how high it goes. It stops at where a deer's lower body begins. So, even though it does offer protection, think about what happens when the driver hits a deer with one of those. The deer guard protects the bumper area, but yet, the deer's body goes right onto the hood, and possibly the windshield? Of course, going higher with the deer guard is not really going to look real good, either...
Hey Tim thank you for the tour great job if you have a chance in conversation or any video and ask him of any mechanical issues as you've been having with your Ford Transit to compare the too thank you love you videos great work
That's a nice van Mr Kevin 🤘 Tim can Kevin fit 3 skids 48X48 in there ? Did he say how much mpg he lost by putting the rooftop AC on? Awesome video Tim . It's nice to put a face to the voice I talk to Kevin on Zello a walkie talkie app channel name Transportation Life WWR he's also a member of our Facebook group
I will be back, I'm hoping sooner than later. yes I am still Expediting I'm currently in transit as we speak in Texas, I just had to take a little bit of time off it was getting quite overwhelming
Tim !!!! Just had an IDEA...No fooling ...How about learning the "TATTOO TRADE"!!!..(Any time spent sitting could be used to...OFFER TALENT to Clientele, attracted by vehicle advertising ( SHARE with BOSS, the INCOME ?)... Sitting in McAllen could be then ADDED PROFIT !!!))
Well, that or you could download the "zello" app. And come talk to me and many other expediters at once and find all the answers you seek? When you download the app. Create a username, search channels for "Transportation Life WWR'S" And join! 👍🤙😁
One reason why I do my best to park away from others, especially during the summer months. I like the cargo area windows open with the fan going. All my cargo area windows (4), have screens in them.
Although that generator isn't the loudest, is sure isn't the quietest, either. Nothing beats a Honda EU3000I for noise level, or gas consumption. They come with a 3 year unlimited hour warranty. What BTU is that A/C unit? I run a 15,000 BTU Dometic myself, and wouldn't have anything smaller than that. In the deep heat and humidity is where it shines, turning my van into a meat locker in the hottest of conditions. Even though I have a Dometic brand, the next one will be a Coleman roughneck. Dometic is okay, but when it comes to warranty work, you will be pulling your hair out. They are very difficult to deal with in that area. And this I have to ask.....lol..why do so many buy a 2500, (3/4) ton, short version, instead of the longest and tallest 350 (1 ton) ??? Regardless of manufacturer. In this business, I'd want the biggest that I can get in a $printer alternative, able to haul 3 skids, and the most GVW rating possible whole staying under 10,000 GVW.
I think I replied to someone else darn it. But I was wondering if that ford 350 or 250 you had was sufficient. Was it a 250 or 350? Gonna buy something and get started myself. Just need your advice on the chevy e350 and how much weight I would need to be rated for. Thanks
jason johnson I would stay away from those old E- series vans, go with a transit or protester. The E series are being fazed out, UNLESS you find a turtle box truck E series type van, they're bigger, higher capacity
@@MyLifesVentures since when are the Econoline being phased out? They are still building them, and still can be ordered as a SRW version, with a 14' body of your choice on them. Yes, they are 10,050# GVW From the factory, for Econolines built AFTER 2012, but can be legally de-rated to UNDER 10K GVW when ordering one new from Ford. Not many salesman are aware of this legal loophole. However, you cannot de-rate one that is already built, or a used one. I am just the opposite. It would take an act of God for me to buy anything other than an Econoline. Sure, they are dinosaurs, and not as good on gas as the others out there, but they are built to last, take a beating, (full frame for starters), and can take a hit alot better without crumpling, unlike others. I am at close to 800,000 miles on mine, in which has only broke down 4 times in the 9 years that I have owned it. Yes, preventive maintenance plays a huge key in any vehicles livelihood, but these are built so much better and stronger than the unibody vans, in my opinion. I can get 16.4 mpg on the highway with the cruise set at 63 mph, loaded. My V8 doesn't work as hard. Don't get me wrong, I love the way the Transit looks and all, and almost considered buying one from Jon at Scaffildi commercial Ford in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. (He really knows home to properly set one up), but after talking to owners of some Transits, (and I'm not saying they are all bad), and the stories they are telling me, why would I want a payment with a measly 36,000 mile warranty, that will eventually translate to a repair AND a payment?... Give my old school anyday. Of course, this is just my opinion....everyone has one, right? But this works for me, being out of debt completely because of this. Make the van work for you, not you working for the van.
I am very interested in expediting (former OTR ,single) but the too hot to sleep thing worries me,small space is fine I am 5'7"- what do you do to sleep in heat? what about vacation AUG ?
No no genny and if stoping in free camping spots add a 400 w wind turbine. That is is the best combo with na 1500w inverter. With a set up of 600 w solar panels = a wind turbine there is not need for propane. For cooking a portable convection hotplate will be very efficient. On cold climate I will add a diesel heater regardless if the engine of the van it is diesel or not.
There are very popular on ocean going yachts and now are used on RV. There are many brands, have a look this one for having an idea: www.primuswindpower.com/
I wonder how often he would have to fill the tanks with gas if he used the AC every time he went in the sleeper...... gives a good idea on how much I would have to spend additionally to fuel cost for trips. That is assuming he uses it everyday for about 5 hours per day. ( you shoot great vids brother!!! Keep it up!!)
Great generator but takes up lots of room plus set up in FREEZING weather it’s horrible plus noisy Imagine having to lift that thing plus carrying fuel all that weight Get an espar heater after all the adding of all you need to do with the generator its worth it plus it goes under passenger seat
The generator stays outside on the swing out arm. So, there is no lifting required, maybe just a little to get the swing away arm off its perch. Most bigger generators weigh around 130#. And yes, any generator should have a weatherproof vinyl cover made at a tarp shop to ensure the weather and protect the generator from the rain and winter chemicals. My cover was $63.00 at Toledo tarp 9 years ago. The covers the manufacturers sell are garbage. Yes, the Espar is the best and most efficient heat option. I wouldn't have any expedite vehicle without one.
Mr Tim and Mr Kevin together. That is a fantastic van tour.
BrainFuelNetwork thank you very kindly Captain Mark I hope your home time is treating you fabulously!

Id have to have the noise to sleep lmao
Jonathan Philmore i had the 4000w champion and it is loud but you get used to it quick after driving for a long ass time yoi are usually too tired to care....the honda 2000w is supposed to be a lot quieter and could power pretty much the same stuff

Van Time yes sir I do agree, I wanna get one eventually but as of now we're crossing fingers and praying every night, lol

Expedite Travels yes, would be tight! thx 4 stopping brotha
How come you stop doing RUclips videos? Are you still expediting?
I will be back, I'm hoping sooner than later. yes I am still Expediting I'm currently in transit as we speak in Texas, I just had to take a little bit of time off it was getting quite overwhelming
Curious how you sleep if you have freight in the van...I can't see how the bed could come down if freight is there
He doesn't, he has a sleeping bag that he would lay on the freight or next to it on the floor.
Move the bed or sleep in the seat

I'm always in there!
Thank you! I downloaded the app and sent you a request from “davedeadheadstoomuch
Ok, I'm in there but afk eating dinner. I'll be on later tonight or first thing in the am for coffee.
How long are you parked with the generator going? I would think neighbors would complain?
Christine Sutton all night while sleeping, no-one minds or hassles
One reason why I do my best to park away from others, especially during the summer months. I like the cargo area windows open with the fan going. All my cargo area windows (4), have screens in them.
Hello! I am from Russia, I really like your channel. Tell me please, how many guys work for the GMC Savana 3500?
Get ready for the hot weather
