I am performing the first descale after 6 months from purchase. While dealing with the water tank I have removed the floating plastic (I believed it has something to do with the water filtering ) and after that the tank wasn't recognized anymore. So, for anyone who has this issue: DO NOT remove the floating round plastic, it can stay there during descaling. Thank you for this tutorial
Hello Siemens, thanks for replying back. I have a new Siemens EQ.3 s500 espresso machine. For some reason, I cannot turn the rotary selector in order to set the grinding level, even when the grinder is in operation. Are you familiar with this issue and is there a way to fix it? Thank you.

Can it stay in calc n clean mode? I replaced instantaneous heater beceause it was broken and I found water under the machine. My problem is that the machine asks for fill the water tank but there is water in the tank. Display or control panel is flashes and the machine does not react to push any buttons. How can I fix it? Hold the espresso button. Release when it flashed. When you happy with the volume off coffee. Press the espresso button again. It will now stop and memorise it until you change it again.

Hi, if the grinder has an issue, then yes it will need to assessed by an engineer. If the grinder unit is not advised on how to be dismantled in the manual of your model, then it should not be attempted by the user.

My coffee tastes like plastic :/ i just bought it. I hope the taste gets better in time. I tried to clean it a lot but it still doesn’t taste good. edit: i called siemens and they took my machine and cleaned it. now coffee tastes amazing.

I think there is a number about calcnclean. For example after 100 cups of espresso it will say do the calcnclean thing. Its like that i guess
Why machines have a little round stone in the water tank?
AFAIK it's a float that lets the machine sense when the water level is low.
After 5 usage my Eq 300 collapsed .The calc and clean light is on and can not be turned off..I hate this machine.I just bought ıt on 1 st of decembre

Try change the grinding levels. You can find the knob inside the Brewer unit. Change it only when the brewer is operating
