Based on the references this interview was from 2023. So Matt does a 40 minute interview with a member of Foo Fighters and Taylor Hawkins is never mentioned? If you didn’t know any better you’d have no clue he died two years ago based on this interview. And Matt was actually good friends with Taylor. Is there some band embargo on mentioning his name or something? How fucking weird.

      This was not from 2023.

What exactly do you think they are alluding to at around 23 minutes? Do you often go up to people and say “hey your friend died that’s a bummer right? Could you confirm you’re sad for me please”. Matt obviously knows the whole band including Chris and opted not to engage him on a difficult subject he may not be comfortable talking about. Is that really that hard to understand? It’s called having empathy.

@@bethmacisaac1300 it’s weird considering Foo Fighters were talked about in the interview. So he’s fine talking about Foo Fighters but not Taylor? And Foos are fine putting out new music and going back on the road but don’t ask about Taylor because that’s too much? Bullshit.

@@ejdrapes5098 i know you’re just faking incredulousness because there is no way an adult actually doesn’t understand the difference between playing music and talking about your friend who died tragically and unexpectedly. Though I suppose you could just completely lack empathy. They call people like that sociopaths.
But yeah, they did make an extremely emotional album about grief and loss, and they are playing shows where they do a tribute to Taylor every night, but i know you don’t actually care about either of those things.
