For one, you can hear a lot more of the details of their vocals and the instrumental. Also, if u smoke n drink, the music hit even more deeper and emotional when slowed somehow. And also as far as the reverb goes, just makes everything more dreamier and trippy sounding. Only few will get it, and even fewer will get it if they dont smoke or drink or take anything lmao (not glorifying that, bc I do have addiction problems) But ya bro we part of a niche community here haha. I remember when I first started listening to slowed beats it was still so widely unknown. It’s art pretty much not some fake imposter and trigger warning like please understand how stressful it is to deal with the content. But I’m not telling a story about how there was a time, any skin color could smoke weed. Now if you’re listening then get this. Young adults like to gatekeep and end up spreading really bad information about the substance. I stuggled with an addiction and that word is a mockery of all the years it took to get back to weed. Safest plant when you’re old enough and aren’t being pushed away from public platforms because, that’s what they’ll use agaisnt you. Normally these trolls are lightskin however what they think makes them some entity of darkness and evil with powers to control generations of family friendly spaces. What I’m getting at is I’m upset with the art that comes out of their demonization of what a person looks like when on weed. Love the anime vibe in this black and white btw.
