I'm located in Austria/Europe. Using an American e-sim and a VPN and I only get content from the US and my content also is only shown to people from the US - definitely more convenient than buying a physical SIM card and having to put it in and out of your phone 24/7

Whenever I want to target audience from USA,I need to use my phone with USA SIM Card and need to open the account with that SIM Card.There is a part in the video you probably mentioned but I still didn't get it. I've experienced a massive increase of views when i was on travel to the US. I live in Canada, had usually a thousand views. I've posted from Washington DC airport and it had jumped to 500K. Never could have that amount after that.

Thanks for your video! I live in the US and then went for vacation to Mexico and suddenly my videos were getting zero views, even when I got back to the US my views never went back up. I had to close that account and start a new one. Now I'm on vacation in Bolivia and same thing is happening, zero views, but I can't keep creating new accounts on every trip. I will try using my data plan instead of wifi and hopefully that will work. I created my account in Brazil with a Brazilian SIM card and had it there for about 3 years, now I live in Spain. All my content is being delivered to Spanish audiences despite speaking Portuguese, using Brazilian hashtags and all that, even when I try to promote a video I can only choose Spain on the audience list.
I guess once connected to a new ISP(wifi or mobile data), TikTok works purely on its location, so unless you are physically in a place, you can't target it.

Hey Joseph. I have a question. I’m a German Creator and I have a Hungarian SIM card. I’m moving to Hungary and I have recognised that TikTok is showing me Hungarian content. The problem is that I have a German Audience and even though I’ll live in Hungary I still want to reach a German audience in the future as well. What can I do to prevent TikTok from showing me that Hungarian stuff. I also recognised that a lot of Hungarians come into my lives. In all of my videos I’m speaking German and I use German language text. What can I do to stop TikTok showing me Hungarian stuff ?

Well, what you see as a viewer is different from where your content reaches as a creator. You can actually change what content you see by going to the settings in your profile or by clicking "don't show me this content" on any video on the For You. TikTok has a few articles in their Newsroom about this. As a creator, I might encourage you to try to use a VPN to place you in Germany. You could also try switching SIM cards, but it's very rare that that works.

I'm trying VPN to keep my location on the NL's but I'm not sure if this helps... What would you recommend to do? Use VPN or not? Yes, the order definitely matters heavily. Usually, the uploads have to be with the SIM card installed, using the local networks dosen't seem to work for some reason. TikTok is very strange sometimes. Thanks for stopping by!

What I found works for me is:
When making an account make sure u have a vpn
Once the vpn is connected make sure u also have flight mode one
Once that is done and you've made an account when ever u are going to upload a video make sure that u r vpn is always connected and also. Make sure for a large number of the time make sure use the vpn
