    For the invisible decrease you can also insert your hook in the FL of the first stitch, insert your hook in the FL of the second stitch THEN yarn over (yarning under for amigurumi is even better) and pull through. Its makes it even more “invisible”. It’ll be real hard to actually see there’s a decrease.

      That's how I do it. I also use the yarn under technique.

    If you are giving the stuffed bunny as a gift for a small child, don't put safety eyes on the amigurumi. They will remove the safety eyes very quickly. I have learned that the hard way with one of my nieces. If you put eyes one, you need to crochet and sew or embroider the eyes on in order to keep the eyes on.

      Yes, good advice. I cringed a bit when she made the hole on the back bigger with a knitting needle. It should be as tight as possible to secure it the best it can. It SHOULD be tough to put on because that equates to it being tough(er) to get them off.

      I agree. I never use safety eyes for little bitties. And never stretch the opening of the backs. They're supposed to be tight, so they don't come off. There is a tool that works great for pushing them on if you have trouble.
      Instead of sewing the arms on, you can crochet them on during the last round or two of the body. It's easier, they look nicer and they're not going to come off.

    Layla is so adorable! So is your kitty! 😻 thank you so much for this condensed tutorial...was really helpful. Never crocheted amigurumi projects before, but this bunny is too cute to not try. Glad the pattern is available also.

    Thank you so much for the tips. I love you way of attaching the limbs with the outer edge single loop as well as the way the arms were attached before the head. I never saw that before! To attach the eyes, I have used a spool of thread to place the washer on and press it. The shank goes in the center end of the spool. I also was taught to put a little stuffing around the eye shank. This helps prevent it from being pulled out.

    This is so helpful thank you Brittany! My issues are always showing the pieces together like the head to the body which I couldn’t really see on this video and also I don’t know how you attach those buttons on the leg. So the workshop idea is a great one. Thank you

    You should try using a doll or weaving needle. They are super long and you can find some with a larger eye on them.

    Hi I just found you videos and I'm really inspired to try some animal making, it is years since I made one but I was just wondering about the hooks as one need to down size it, will it not change the size of the result? And the amount of stitches? I'm "newish" at it so just asking of interest😊 thank you for showing👍🧶

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  Месяц назад +1

      Great questions! You’re exactly right, when you size down your hook, the stitches will be smaller and the resulting project too. For example, if you make Layla here with a thinner yarn, and smaller hook, it’ll turn out smaller than this one.

    I wish you would show how to end off when embroidering the nose. Is it tied off to the beginning tail?

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  2 месяца назад +1

      Yep, that’s all I did! Just tied it off and left them inside to add to the stuffing 👍

    Hi Brittany. I'm confused just a quick question. I thought this channel was crochet only and I was zooming around the channel and tunesian and knitting videos were there that I have never seen. Am I nuts? Lol.

    • @bhookedcrochet
      @bhookedcrochet  Месяц назад

      Not at all 🙃 I used to publish my knitting tutorials on this channel, but recently started a new channel just for knitting. I’m still going through the process of transferring the knitting videos. And Tunisian crochet is just another (fun) form of crochet!

      I’ve been there! Sounds like you need a fun project that you’re really excited about. More recently for me, that was turning a plain canvas bag into my new favorite granny square bag. It’s one of my more recent videos if you want to check it out!
