I was fishing a beautiful spot in Central America, targeting Roosters (Roosterfish) and Jack Crevalle.

In this video I was testing out the 6 piece 12ft Samson Travel rod which was an excellent piece of kit ideal for the trip. I soon forgot I was using a travel rod.
Lures used were the Samson Enticer Minnow and Samson Shads mainly in the 70g range!

Hi there!, well they are really suited to Roosters and a few other species. When we changed some hooks to singles we had complaints. You cant seem to please everyone when it comes to hooks, so we now put on strong VMC trebles same one they use on Rapala

Cracking video, the travel rod took the abuse dished out by that stunning rooster without my problems, top work!👏👏 The surface looked a little treacherous, out of curiosity what shoes do you wear to maintain grip please?

I was using boots with ankle support this time as I was recovering from a snapped tendon!

Thanks!, I like to use double singles for Roosters as when you hook up they generally dont come off!

Wow my friend, it has been a long time since we last spoken. Why on earth would you throw away all the opportunities to eat and meet new people in a different country, just to go fishing? Is it loneliness? Is it about marketing your new products? Do you go alone in this video? And how do you search for fishing location in a new country so it worths your trip and so on?

Hi there! Never enjoyed eating new people 😂.
I travel for the adventure! I spend every day of my life with people which is great, but the trips are a chance to focus on fishing which I love and without any interruptions! I choose to go alone on these trips as thats how fishing started for me and I can stay focused on what im doing!
