    Thank you for this video! It is very helpful! Maybe it is 4 years too late but I think you played in the chorus for each chord "down, up,down, down up" but I am not quite sure^^''

    Hello, I recently bought a guitar and started playing it and found your channel, watching the tutorials etc. Really nice and very helpful. I have 2 questions.
    Did you have any difficulties regarding your fingers muting the string below the one you hit by mistake, and also, did you find it hard at start playing certain chords because your fingers couldn't move that way?
    I've read that is normal when you start, and it doesn't matter if you have small/big/fat or w/e fingers and you'll eventually get it done. I'm trying a lot and doing a variety of exercises for my fingers but it doesn't really seem to get any better. I'd feel better if a person could tell me directly that he had the same problems cause I've started getting frustrated and I think that I just can't do it.
    Good work on your videos, keep it up.

      Hi! These are definitely very normal for the beginning - it really does just take practice. I played for about a year on and off and made very little progress, but then I decided to practice for at least an hour a day, everyday and I improved a lot more quickly. Try not to get too frustrated, eventually your fingers will get used to the chord shapes and it will become second nature! :)

      Thank you for the fast response, good to know that these are common issues when you're a beginner. I do practice a lot, 5 or more hours a day.
      Keep up the good work, also consider doing a tutorial for "Come join the murder" from the White Buffalo, if you know and like the song, it's my favourite and I'd love to learn how to play it, and can't find any decent and helpful tutorials like the ones you're making.
      Thanks again :)

      Hello, sorry for such a late reply! I won't be able to make an All of Me tutorial but, if you'd like, I can recommend one or two? (Though you might be alright now! Haha)

    No capo... Ah well. Love the song, but it's always the ones I love that require what I don't have.

  • @inesmonteiro6047

    will it matter if we play without capo ? D:

    • @SoKatherine
      @SoKatherine  8 лет назад +2

      +Evi KrepoManiac Hi! For this tutorial it will -if you take off the capo the song will sound slightly out of tune, so it depends how much you want to stay true to the original :) You can tune your guitar to Drop D, then you don't need the capo and the song will sound the same! In drop D you will use the same chords, but their shape changes (fingers and strings won't be the same as I explained in the beginning). Hope this helps!

    You're missing one chord, both in the verse, both in the chorus. I suggest you to listen more closely to the record...

    • @SoKatherine
      @SoKatherine  9 лет назад +4

      +AldoProg Thanks for the feedback! I think it's quite a good likeness to the original (particularly for beginners) - in the future, I''ll try to make it clearer that my tutorials don't aim to give an exact replica of the originals.

      Ben usually throws an E chord in there after the G chord. But the acoustic videos I've found online, he does not do it every time.

    You’re cute, and quite good, that’s a plus. However, this is not how he plays it. Your version is simplified.
