- In this video, we give you our TOP 5 THINGS TO DO IN KENTUCKY (Central) from our experiences last summer (2021). If you're looking for a great trip to Kentucky, our video will help you plan.
We are a family of 4 who loves to travel. In 2019, we bought a 30 ft. travel trailer and decided to make our dreams happen by getting out on the road. Since then, we have upgraded to a 39' Fifth Wheel Mid-Bunkhouse and a 2018 Ford F-350 Diesel and are loving the upgrade for our family. We have always LOVED traveling and now seeing our world on the road has given us opportunities to see and make more memories as a family. We are teachers and are blessed to have the same "vacation" schedule, so we make the most of it with our kids by being both weekend warriors and by "school schedule" traveling--We call ourselves summer-timers. We hope to share what we learn while exploring this beautiful world around us and inspire you to get out and see it too.

Most of these items were on our list, but that horse museum was something we hadn't ever heard of. So thanks for that tip, looks amazing. We will have to add that to our bucket list.

Oh wow! Bless! Well, know that it can be done. While I was on crutches and on 50% weight-bearing until I got back, it made me very aware of places and their accessibility. I did not have surgery on mine--I just did physical therapy and have been fine since then. I am not a big athlete or anything. Who knew you could function without an ACL? Enjoy Kentucky ~Kelli
A pretty good list but I would have included the Corvette Museum.

Are all these places within an hour from each other? I’m trying to find a hotel or Airbnb
They are all within an hour except Mammoth Cave.

We stayed in Frankfort--and everything except Mammoth Cave NP was within an hour of where we stayed. :) Thanks for watching. ~Kelli
I’m trying to book a hotel and don’t know where to start.
So Mammoth Cave is near Cave City, KY and there are a number of hotels in that area. We would recommend staying there to explore the National Park. Frankfort is 2 hours northwest of the Cave and Lexington is just a little further and they have a number of hotel accommodations that would be convenient to the other locations. Just Google Map the ones you want to visit from those cities and see how comfortable you are with the drives. We hope this helps & thanks for watching! ~Wilson & Kelli
