u're the bitch here. calvin and moss were probably as dominant in their prime. both needed triple coverage and calvin never had the receiving core nor the QB moss had. everyone knew u just had to try covering calvin, moss also had cris carter and one of the best offensive in the history. i wouldnt put neither of them ahead of the other

    • @KamiKazeKy

are you dumb? Moss in 16 seasons eclipsed 1500 yds 1 time. Clavin in 9 seasons did it 3 times. Calvin also has the single season yds record 1,964. Moss never had over 1,700 in a season. Moss had 1 season were he averaged over 100 yds per game. Calvin had 3. At the pace Calvin was on if he played the same amount of time as Moss he would have finished was over 20,000 yds, while Moss barely eclipsed 15,000. Its not even close Megatron is a way better receiver. Moss was tall and fast, Calvin was tall, fast, strong, ran every route and had better hands

There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Put him on a team that isn’t the sorry ass lions and he would have had comparable stats to guys like T.O, randy moss and jerry rice. @Mikedx123 8 лет назад +7

+TheLILWITEFITZ No. CJ made Peterson look silly the game they had Peterson try to cover him with single coverage. Embarassed him. There's a reason why Peterson calls him the best ever. And you can't look at any single CB and how they did against Megatron, because except for his first couple seasons when he had no QB, and about 3-4 games out of 50, Calvin was never singled, he was ALWAYS doubled or tripled. Teams covered him with two guys like a punt gunner AND had a safety waiting. It's why he didn't just get 2k yards every year(minus 2012), and why his accomplishments are so amazing. Every DC did everything to stop him, and still couldn't. But if anything, CJ vs. Charles "peanut" Tillman was the best matchup. I know, as a long time Bears fan.

Put a young Calvin Johnson on a team with HoF receiver Cris Carter coaching him up and ProBowl caliber QBs in Randall Cunnningham and Daunte Culpepper throwing him the ball from year 1 (Randy Moss's situation), or if he was on the innovative West Coast offense of the Super Bowl era 49ers (Jerry Rice, TO situation) which had two HoF QBs under center.....we would be talking about Calvin Johnson as the obvious greatest receiver of all time. In terms of talent, and personal character, he was the greatest ever, bar none.

Wild compression but CJ's career fits the same mold as Bo Jackson in the enhances that they were so dominate and respected by their peers and while CJ went out before sustaining more injuries (similar to Bo) they gave us enough to consider them all time greats

Life long die hard panthers fan Steve smith will always be my favorite of all time cause I’m bias lol, megatron is the greatest receiving talent of all time I didn’t get to watch Jerry but I did get to watch moss and if you ask me if I had to have a receiver for my all time team I’m no question taking megatron. The most uncoverable receiver I’ve ever seen and I wish he would’ve been able to play longer cause damn he was jaw dropping

6'5 240 4.3 40yd. A bigger faster stronger Julio Jones /AJ Green. Lions purrr I mean roar. He would have gone down as undisputed top 5 receiver in NFL history possible he could have been #1 but in typical Detroit Fashion we made life so shitty he pulled a Barry Sanders..... I don't blame him

Do you not understand that he battled a bunch of injuries throughout his career and hardly practiced the last few years? Barry wasn't as passionate about the game, so he walked away. Calvin didn't really have a choice...
