Hst tax break should be permanent

This is not a "tax holiday" when it's only for select items. Twice as much money will be wasted trying to comply with the list than people will save.

We need a Treadeau holiday. That would be better

Saving money by purchasing things you don’t need. Sounds legit.

This is the worst idea ever. They should have planned better how they were going to operationalize this.

There is a change to this scheme. The consumer will now have to submit their receipts to the CRA at tax time to receive their rebate unless the retailer does it at the till. It is now not mandatory for the retailer to delete the GST from products.

Big deal, City News. Several key points that you did not report: 1) it's optional for stores and businesses to participate. The CFIB posted this on their site last night (Dec 13) at 6 PM. I don't blame the stores if they choose not to because of the headaches and costs to implement and unimplement this scheme. 2) Consumers who are still being charged GST during this window because of point 1 will have to submit a claim to the CRA to get a rebate. The prime minister and his merry band of misfits never once said anything about consumers needing to do this.

We are still using a currency that hasn’t existed in years. I sure am not benefiting from that. the banks are.
Use cash so they don’t get millions in pennies.

It’s not mandatory for business. It’s a program not a law. Check with the CFIB

I love how everyone’s so oblivious I mean yeah take advantage but don’t be voting for him because he gave us a break from something we shouldn’t have in the first place. He’s got nothing else but how Pierre doesn’t agree with it but why would he, he sees right through it too this is just to try and make him look better for elections but not fooling me
