Despite already being a top tier vocalist, Baekhyun was still going for vocal lessons on a regular basis to level up his craft. I remember that sometimes after his vocal lessons, he would turn on his Instagram live (whilst driving home) to spend some time with fans and be singing some songs. The emotions in his voice in “Cry For Love” are so palpable!! Its a must-hear for sure! Although its a b-side, that’s definitely my favourite Baekhyun song, followed by “Love Again” which really showcases his lower register and just how low he can also go!

I was 8 ft from him at the SuperM San Diego show and the amount of times he looked at me and smiled made me blush! He’s a very intense performer and his vocals live were unbelievable!
Fun fact: The album and title track is called "Bambi" for multiple reasons. One reason is because one of Baekhyun's nicknames he has been given by some of his fans is Bambi. Fans say he looks cute like a doe-eyed deer. This album is meant to be a gift for fans because he was about to enlisting in the military and he wanted to give us something to keep us company while he is away for 18 months serving his country. However, the song is more about the fact that Bambi refers to "night rain" as you see he talks about in the lyrics -- it's a play on words in Korean, Bam as in night and bi as in rain. And in English, Bambi refers to a woman with long legs -- and that is where the name for the Disney character comes from -- which is also the nickname of the character/woman Baekhyun is talking about in the song. :D However, the song has very little, if anything, to do with the Disney movie -- the cute little deer with the same name, isn't really even connected to the song. (In western pop culture the name Bambi is given to female characters in novels and movies because it is used as a metaphor for her sexual appeal and appearance. That is why Disney chose that name for the deer in their story because it was a play on the fact that Bambi has long legs and big doe-eyes like a voluptuous woman. :D So Baekhyun is not talking about a deer in the song, he is using it as a nickname for the woman he is singing about.) The woman in EXO's songs is often thought to be a metaphor and physical representation of the Tree of Life. That is why the members are always trying to save the girl or protect her, or they talk about being controlled by the power of the woman or they are worried about their passion destroying her, etc. It's EXO's job to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force. EXO was sent to Earth on a mission to finding the two halves of the tree and reuniting them in order to restore peace in the world. The two halves of the tree -- EXO-K represents one half and EXO-M represents the other half -- were originally separated in order to keep the Red Force from gaining control. However, now, in order to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, EXO needs to defeat the Red Force and find where the two halves of the tree have been hidden. On a side note: I think aespa may have been the ones that were made the guardians of the Tree of Life once it was separated, and so, EXO are ultimately on a quest to find aespa in order to figure out where they have hid the tree. We see what looks like could be the Tree of Life in aespa's "Next Level" MV, and I think that could be what the Black Mamba is searching for. I also have a feeling that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see aespa also in a subway train in their debut MV "Black Mamba" and we see SHINee in an old train station in their recent comeback in their "Don't Call Me" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks and people on a subway train platform in Kai's "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video as it transitions to "Mmmh." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. And because Baekhyun is the leader of SuperM and a member of EXO -- one of the 3/4 main vocalists of EXO -- that usually means it's connected to SM's Universe. One of our KINGS, even his yelling sounds good. He is one of 3 main vocalist in EXO, 2 others are CHEN and D.O IMO, Baekhyun sound always RnB in his solo work. While Chen often had ballad song in his solo, and we have to wait for 6 more days upon to D.O solo Mini Album. Baekhyun had a nickname in the industry, a "Genius Idol". Bambi is only a word play in korean meaning "night rain", no referring to a movie, Tinkebel is a name used by the fans describing themselves , EXO has a song named Peter Pan where it says, they are the Peter Pan and the fans are Tinkebel.
i loved your reaction! baekhyun's voice really has a similar effect on me, i could listen to anything he releases just because of his voice, that's why he ended up being my favorite vocalist and soloist in kpop. i also love the rnb approach that his songs, not only title-tracks, but also b-sides have, bc it's a genre that explores a lot of vocals and emotion. his solo work is really, really good. i'd highly recommend checking out his song ''all i got'', bc he went to the next level when it comes to vocal performance/vocal gymnastics, you'll get chillds when that bridge comes. since it's a b-side, it doesn't have an mv. exo and sm groups in general have really strong vocalists. exo has 3 main vocalists(baekhyun, d.o. and chen) and every single one of them is a powerhouse of its own, it's crazy how sm was able to gather them. kinda not related, i particularly find nct 127's jaehyun's voice/tone similar to baekhyun's, so jaehyun has my favorite voice in nct 127, hahah

Not really about the movie but it is using elements from the movie like "fairytale" and such but it's mostly a like a cute nickname and bambi in Korean can also mean night rain. In this song he's using both meanings.

I think besides the obvious, one of Baekhyun’s greatest skills is storytelling. He can bring so much emotion to a song, and it’s believable.

Not really about the movie but it is using elements from the movie like "fairytale" and such but it's mostly a like a cute nickname and bambi in Korean can also mean night rain. In this song he's using both meanings.

He has such an interesting voice, when he sings like that very soulful it's like he takes my soul out of my body, I know what you mean when you said his voice can go deeper. There are only few vocalists in k-pop who can do that: Baekhyun, Taemin, Woosung(The Rose), Joochan(Golden Child), Hong-Ki Lee(FTISLAND). When you have time check Baekhyun - Garden in the air
