Thanks for sharing! I watched with my two tiels here in the States and they chirped in reply, so your tiels flock calls have reached across the globe :)

I really enjoy your aviary. It's quite soothing and beautiful and I can imagine spending time in there just enjoying the peace and birds. Do you plan to get another male pheasant? He was certainly beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Glad you enjoy it... and you have given me an idea. And I am not looking at getting another Male at this stage as he was very noisy, very early in the morning. I am trying to source a good companion for Cary (female Pheasant) though.

I love the set up and the updates thx! How to the birds go when it gets really cold in winter? Do they seem to notice it much?

nancee Lowcarb They always stay outside and they are fine with it. It doesn't get very cold here, it never snows or anything like that. The lowest daytime high we have ever had is 9°C and the lowest temp ever around 0°C, but the cold temps only last for an hour or 2. Thanks for watching.

well i looked it up , here you have them again your barbary dove from australia. I wasn't so wrong with streptopelia ....but risoria..... it is. Very interesting is the comparison to s. decaocto in so far they look quiet similar, but the one lives in europe...the other in Austalia...and as we know the birds in australia a very different mostly from birds on other continents...but this pigeon seems to be an exeption ? I think i read sometimes they were imported here to europe in the 18 century or so....some escaped and that is the explanation why they now do belong to our native birds...but they must be immigrants the more i think about ...in germany they are called " Türkentauben " ...realy no joke )))

031doolittle The Barbary Dove is actually an introduced species in Australia. Thanks for watching

Have you had any mutations from your Java sparrows? My javas breed all year round and I live in England!

My Javas breed like crazy too, but no mutations. I have had one batch of yellow Turqs.

Caryotagigas Birds Animals Palms that's amazing! Their wild genes must be really strong in your flock. I've had a couple of silver and a couple of pied but all normals recently. They breed like rats! lol I have zebbies and people say they are prolific breeders but I've never had a successful clutch it's all lies the Java is definitely the best breeder! I was lucky with my cockatiels each of their 4 chicks was a different pattern/colour so easy to tell apart 😊 I do get excited when I find a nest the anticipation on what the chicks will be like and look like I'm glad it doesn't take long for them to leave the nest!
