I would imagine it only works on certain mobs, and certain character, which i agree, is cool ability. Its basically a timed heal(maybe would repelenish used cooldowns who knows)

Detail and particle effects have no impact on lag-that's all processed on your end by the PS5's video card. All the server needs to know is your controller inputs-when and how long you pressed each button-so it can update positions and hits and collisions etc. Lag can and undoubtedly will still be an issue like every other game, but not any particularly worse.
@tike012 there is more to it than that. The server is more than just inputs. Anytime another character does anything, it also has to be updated on your end and your consoles. Basically requiring more bandwidth is what he's referring to. MMOs like that are far more complex for for every system. Especially server side. Edit: If 8 people cast their ultimates or cooldown at the same time, It more than likely will have hitches... GPU and Server side.
one thing I saw that really caught me was at 1:59 how the mage actually took time to cast the spell with the book, Most games nowadays just skip that feature, have high hopes for this game.

I am hopeful for this one (Chrono Odyssey), has YOU ACTUALLY SEE characters avoiding (rolling out of) incoming attacks.

The only things connecting each game are very loose Final Fantasy concepts that the creators can do whatever they want with. The concepts are the gods, some animals, Crystals, and guys named Cid. I hope the co-op experience is smooth unlike games such as Elden Ring. It's got everything I've ever wanted in an MMORPG game. The only thing I'm curious about currently is the upgrading (stats and equipment) mechanics in the game.
Yeah, no one has time to spend 500 hours to get something that will require another 500 hours to perfect.

With what you've experienced in games from Korean Studio, you should only hope 50% of the trailer can come true.
I wish that when they say it's a gameplay trailer they show the ui and how it would actually look in game, not a cinematic version of the view you get.

@Symphonix_Beats Everywhere I've read still says mobile as well. Can't find a source to say mobile was dropped, could you link plz? And even so, the original intent had mobile in mind, so you can expect a bless or BDO mobile style p2w structure regardless. It wreaks of all the cliches of a South Korean action mmo with grimey monetization. I almost thought this was my reason to finally cave and get a ps5. Think I'm going back on the wait list.
