You've obviously never sparred or been in a gym. Half of the point of sparring is basically practicing certain things. That's why you see a lot of fighters seeming like they're getting tagged and pressured in sparring when in fact they're practicing soaking up pressure. Here he is clearly sparring to work on the inside though. People get hit a lot in sparring because the whole point is to tune up on the mistakes but also because they're not focused on certain aspects, i.e jabs coming from the outside if they're basically sparring just to do inside work.
That is nice but the fact is he got hit, the whole argument is that conor can't touch him but right there he gets hit multiple times against a no name boxer. Maybe that applies to noral boxers sparring but Floyd the p4p #1 fighter the guy who never gets hit got hit pretty often by a no name he would purposefully get hit if he could avoid it . first off, I am a huge conor fan and hope he does the impossible an pulls this off. but if you notice conor's stance, its very wide and low. he put's torque on every punch. this puts a lot of stress on the legs. look at foyd's stance. hes bouncing around on his toes, quick. he's not throwing everything into each punch. conor has been know to tire in previous fights. people praise him for "overcoming" this in the diaz II fight. a fight that was primarily a 25 minute boxing match, with some clinch work. a fight in which he was gassing badly in the 3rd, but gutted it out. if it goes the distance, conor will be in a 36 minute boxing match with Floyd. only difference is, conor will have the size on Floyd, just as diaz had the size on conor. I just think cardio is going to be a serious issue for him. You've obviously never sparred or been in a gym. Half of the point of sparring is basically practicing certain things. That's why you see a lot of fighters seeming like they're getting tagged and pressured in sparring when in fact they're practicing soaking up pressure. Here he is clearly sparring to work on the inside though. People get hit a lot in sparring because the whole point is to tune up on the mistakes but also because they're not focused on certain aspects, i.e jabs coming from the outside if they're basically sparring just to do inside work.
That is nice but the fact is he got hit, the whole argument is that conor can't touch him but right there he gets hit multiple times against a no name boxer. Maybe that applies to noral boxers sparring but Floyd the p4p #1 fighter the guy who never gets hit got hit pretty often by a no name he would purposefully get hit if he could avoid it . Just for general knowledge, that type of heavy bag hitting that Mayweather does is to improve/maintain form and mechanics of punch, not to showcase power. It also minimizes chances of doing undue harm to your fists in the lead up to a big fight. It's the same with his mittwork, it's testing and keeping his reflexes sharp, not to show how hard he hits.
