I really like the LaTrax rally car. A group of 8 of us all have this car and race / bash ever Sunday afternoon during the cold weather months. We rent a small community center. We have a lap counter which really makes the racing fun. Great car for someone new to the hobby, or for a parent introducing RC racing to kids or grandkids. My brother and I have been playing / racing RC cars for over 40 years, our adult children are now racing with us. Great fun and with this car very affordable. After watching your video, I think I might do this upgrade.
although i don't really have winter. we have about 20 of us that started running them at a small carpet track caloosa trains and hobbies in southwest Florida. I've been into rc for 40+ years and this is one of the most fun classes yet. its cheap and not so serious.
Nice indoor rc RaceTrack I remember back in the late 90’s. Dancey’s Hobbies in las Vegas. Had there in door track. See a bunch of RC10T3’s at that time . For rental use
Man I could tell that it handles like a dream just wondering how the aluminum chassis would handle hopefully just as good but also love my stock setup with just the added full bearing kit and brushless system, got 2 cars so I can upgrade one with the stiffer parts to change the handle, just wish I still had my xray m18
Hi Greg nice vid! I have one question i need an answer before i can buy one. Can you raise the battery holder to fit a traxxas 1300mah 3s or 2200 2s lipo battery?
hey m8 i have some questions i look to get into the hobby i i like hyper 7 TQ2 with mac .28 engine 1 what cc means on fuel tank??? 2 it it good for first ever buggy? 3 what is a run time on 1 full fuel tank? thats come to my mind now rly thanks to any1 how can help me (sry for my english :3 )
If you are looking to get into the hobby, nitro might not be the best way. It requires a lot of tuning, care, attention and money. But if you really want I guess go for it

Should’ve weighed the car before the swap to compare the weight reduction, if any.
$100 wow, almost the same as the car!
Cool video Greg!!!!!

$100! WTF Traxxas!
Great upgrade bro !
What screw did you used for the battery post. I can’t seem to tighten it
I'm looking for tires that work on painted concrete floors in a basement...no drifting
do u have any tip how to make custom body for this car ? i cant find any for example subaru impreza bodies for this scale
Not as small as the Kyosho Mini-Z but still looks like these would be a ton of fun racing a bunch of these with some buddies

Yes. Carbon fiber is expensive.....
Cool
I have one. I want to upgrade the steering servo and servo saver. It has so much give its all over the place. Any ideas?
$100 and they didn't seal the edges of the plate?
Have you installed the solid difs? is it worth it? or just do the rear only?
solid diff? like a welded diff?
Would you have to worry about chassis tweak with such a small motor and and weight
$50-$60 for that type of upgrade! Sure! $100 cough! cough! I would need to really think about it
Way too expensive for what it is. Although, if you had the money it's definitely worth picking up. Nice video nonetheless!
I cant believe its still 100 bucks wtf 😭 😅😊
When your all done with the build you should make it an giveaway car!
Im not racing at all... i just want a fully upgraded latrax lol, im at like $600-$700 canadian :$
