Barbie Fashion Designer Full Playthrough Barbie Fashion Designer is a game created by Mattel Interactive in 1996. A Barbie™ Fashion Designer™ Refill Kit was also released.
I played this with my friend so much. The final fashion show rendering always took forever and looks kind of creepy and uncanny. Also something about that dude in the audience on the right 😂
My childhood best friend used to own this game and I remember us playing it constantly when I would hangout/sleepover with her at her grandparents house! There was another one that I remember she had that we were obsessed with that was out around this time, only it was an entire mini-game collection and the premise was visiting Barbie's Dreamhouse (I don't remember if it was actually called "The Dreamhouse" in the 90s) but you would go to different rooms of the house and unlock the mini-games... I remember one being based on/inspired by the Barbie makeover toy that was out at the time where it was a "life-size" Barbie head and bust that allowed you to brush and play with it's hair, and you'd have the little makeup tool accessories that you would get wet with warm or cold water and then swipe it across the Barbie and makeup would appear on her - and the computer game version had the Barbie bust with hands so you could click different tools and change her hair color and style, apply makeup to her, as well as give her a manicure. Another mini-game that stands out to me was this "Mad Libs" type mini-game where you got to send letters to Barbie and her friends, but certain words were left blank so you'd have to fill in the noun, verb, adjective, etc yourself... and I remember this because Ace Ventura 2 was out at this time, and so when we'd start a new letter, my friend and I would always find a way to work in the line "Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend us your rears!" because we were like 8 or 9 and thought that was the height of comedy. 🤣 I also remember around this time owning two Barbie PC games of my own that this friend of mine and I would play when she'd come over to my house: One being Detective Barbie Mystery of the Carnival Caper which was a personal favorite, and the other, like the Barbie Dreamhouse game, I don't remember the title of - but I do remember that it was another mini-game collection type of game, only instead of being Barbie's mansion, it took place at this movie studio I think? I vaguely recall something like this, because while I don't remember most of the mini-games, the one I _do_ remember was this sort of movie maker mini-game that was similar to the American Girl's Movie Maker/Story Maker PC game that I also owned, but instead of being live-action versions of the American Girl Doll characters, it was Barbie, Ken, Stacy, Skipper, Kelly, Chelsea... you get the idea, and I remember spending hours in the Barbie movie maker! (My favorite "movie" I'd make was about Barbie growing up wanting to become a professional dancer and eventually becoming the Prima Ballerina of the Royal Ballet Company - I think because I was obsessed with ballet growing up, and I wanted so badly to be a ballerina myself! Although even though I was a child, I was aware of the fact that serious ballet dancers usually began taking lessons at 3 or 4 years of age, and in my mind, I was already "too old" at like 9 to become a professional ballerina.)
Oh my gosh is the childhood friend in question named Taylor Day from Oklahoma? Bc otherwise I have had not one unique experience hahaha. Omg time for me to obsessively search for the next hour.
I made so many real life barbie clothes using this game! I still remember the strips of oval double sided tape they gave you so you didn’t have to sew!
I remember the shoe countdown I used to genuinely be so excited lol, and HOW 90s is that cat walk music Jesus!!!!!
This game has some banging tunes

I came here after seeing a short saying that barbie's boobs sometimes block her face and I want to see if that's true
it was so evil for all these barbie games to incorporate the printing features to make you waste your parents printer ink lmao
LET HER SPEAK
MY CHILDHOOD
Comment here if you came because of a tik tok saying you could see barbies boobs to verify this. XD
