My wife and I have just been through this whole new SUV buying process; shortlisted the Q3 and X1, and ended up buying a far better specced and cheaper VW Tiguan R-Line.
When was the last time anyone paid Retail for a new car? Go and see you can take home a well specced S-Line for around the 600K mark. (2019's especially but demo ish mileage)
My friend has a Q3, spends more time at the dealer. Gone back 10 times for fault with reverse camera. It actually stops the car. They say they have fixed the problem. A week later it goes back. It's brand new
What's happening to the background? Is it just me or does anyone else see this? It is blurred for some reason. Why? One of the reasons I watch these videos is the environment of South Africa. It is better than watching a video from gray England. The older videos of you guys driving in the mountain regions were awesome.
😀 I scrolled the comments looking for this comment only. I thought I couldn't be imaging that. It's odd how I never noticed before but the minute there was a change, I noticed it. So Well done Ciro!
Sticker price is nothing. Cost of ownership is in the Millions 😭 Over a Million Rand on a small cross-over/SUV over (X) years. People must be doing really well for themselves if they can afford to drop House money on a Q3
9:52 ... not all cars. My Haval H6C Lux is MILES AHEAD of the Golf 7 I used to drive. My Haval NEVER rolls, with and or without crawl mode. but yes the VW / Audi brand does a far worse job on the Dual Clutch Transmission than Haval. Haval nails the DCT / or DSG as VW calls it.
That is quite expensive compared to Australia. I purchased the 35TFSI in launch edition for $56K drive away with all the features apart from a sunroof. So 675k Rand. You guys are getting jipped!
Hmmmmm are you sure that the interior quality and materials are the best? Instead of an a3 2019? when i drive this car, wasn’t a quality suv had cheap and hard plastic to doors and a very laggy transmission Ok i agree about the interior design but i think is not enough to make a car premium
Sorry to bring this up but my German mentality requires me to criticize the fingerprints on the screen. Much better to use a wheel to navigate through the MMI.
If the price for luxury isn’t worth it for you, just go for a Mahindra then.... it’s like going to Gucci and comparing their sneakers to pricing at sportscene
Car journalists are so funny. Since when is R800 000 not a lot of money. It is madness paying this for something that will only be worth R300 000 in 5 years time🤣
Lol joke. I tested both. The X1 is tiny compared to the Q3, wtf are you smoking. Not to mention the X1 interior is outdated as shit. Let's face it, Audi smoked BMW this year and have been doing so for this cycle life of cars.
Ciro did you know that VW DSG Seven speed GTI GOLF Automatic dual clutch was the first car Audi only had the Multi - Tronic Automatic gear box which gave my Audi so many problems VW is still much better than Audi and more reliable i hate Audi!!!!

Better looking too, imo. Good choice.
Mine caused alot of problem but hope your doesnt
a humorous and great presenter and keep up the good work
750k for a small crossover?
It's absolutely ridiculous!
You can go for a mokka ... only R350k
Rather go for a 3 series
“LUXURY Small Crossover”
If you wanna cheap crossover go for Honda HRV.
It's insane
Concierge is the most stupid feature/gimmick ever, imagine calling someone up just to put something into your sat nav or asking about things near you.
How is this consumption and power the same as my 12yr old A3 fsi. I feel the engine should've been more powerful.
Then you can’t help but wonder how much the coming RSQ3 is going to cost. Hence most people end up buying old sports cars at a certain price range.
When was the last time anyone paid Retail for a new car? Go and see you can take home a well specced S-Line for around the 600K mark. (2019's especially but demo ish mileage)
The Mercs had a similar tow hitch system. I remember releasing the tow hitch and it swung out and hit my shin. Ouch. Its was really painful.
Interior looks exactly like a VW Tiguan.......N dont tell me that VW owns Audi damn it.
R700 000+ is a joke.
Bernard imagine the price of the coming RSQ3.
It really is like I thought base MSRP is R450k
@@katlegomohlala6655 R1.1M plus
So it's averaging the same fuel consumption in the city that my 15 yr old 2.0T Astra averages. Wow so much progression.
When is the rsq3 coming to SA?
My friend has a Q3, spends more time at the dealer.
Gone back 10 times for fault with reverse camera.
It actually stops the car.
They say they have fixed the problem.
A week later it goes back.
It's brand new
The tow bar😂😂😂 I like that one
To much money for a car in that segment. Very good looking though.
Not worth the price at all, R750k for that - nah

Even the VW Polo has a false floor that allows you to do that exact same thing to maximize boot space actually
Volvo XC40?
You didn't mention Volvo XC40 as a rival
Yo Ciro, you been hitting the gym? Looking leaner guy.
😀 I scrolled the comments looking for this comment only. I thought I couldn't be imaging that. It's odd how I never noticed before but the minute there was a change, I noticed it. So Well done Ciro!
Coronavirus: exists
Cars.co.za : we don't care
What a nice introduction with your full name thanks, and hope you don't only do that on Audi😂
Sticker price is nothing.
Cost of ownership is in the Millions 😭
Over a Million Rand on a small cross-over/SUV over (X) years.

Lol to house money, yet true
Hi Ciro why does Volkswagen own Audi?
And in 5 years sell it for R75K.Good investment?
R700k to R800k for a 110kw VW??
9:52 ... not all cars. My Haval H6C Lux is MILES AHEAD of the Golf 7 I used to drive.

It’s kind of the same price really.
ps. Australian dollar to rand exchange
This is the price of cars now days peepz and its an Audi...
Most People don't buy brand new.
Price is absolutely bat shit crazy, no reason to pay that kind of money for that size car
He should join Topgear or Grand tour, he is that good
Top gear? With such a dull, sleepy voice? 😂 this guy sucks
He is very neutral..nothing special..he needs to be more opinionated..a bit of a yawn. But he seems to get you wet..you a bit lonely?
We are getting shafted in SA with car prices. Ridiculous
True
Hmmmmm are you sure that the interior quality and materials are the best? Instead of an a3 2019?

Any job available I wanna review cars all kinds

The music on this video
What is standard 🤦🏼♂️
BMW calls it Yas Marina blue... they've had it for years!
Gla, not the glb
Gift from zeGermans "have some headlining" 😂
Interior is a direct copy + paste out of VW .. smh
This is a 550k car..always add an extra 150k-200k FU portion to it. Thats how Audi screws you with all their cars
You are deluded...750k.
If this is a sponsored video you should just say so.
Car journalists are so funny. Since when is R800 000 not a lot of money. It is madness paying this for something that will only be worth R300 000 in 5 years time🤣
Audi are a joke in SA. Cars are overpriced by 150k atleast.
Don't like the look of this. Especially in this spec. Doesn't look like 700k car
Toalet blue🤔😂😂
I think you are mad. 700k for a compact SUV? You can get a much bigger BMW X1 brand new for 400k
Mohammed Mulla Audi be ripping people off
Please don't lie, there's no new X1 for 400k.
Lol joke. I tested both. The X1 is tiny compared to the Q3, wtf are you smoking. Not to mention the X1 interior is outdated as shit. Let's face it, Audi smoked BMW this year and have been doing so for this cycle life of cars.

The original Q3 looked like a pile diarrhea and I am looking at powaaaaaaa and best 0-100 with RWD or AWD and unless it’s a Civic R

Q3 Sportback is much better than this
