You're asking why a teenager does what a teenager does... I was once one & I can't even answer that.
Plaintiff: Miss Judy😂
😂 they crack me up when they say that!!!!!!!! This ain’t divorce court and you aint Rolling Ray lol😂

That girl just likes the drama.
I need a beer after watching this case 😂 that girl was trynna cover up her lies to her mom about seeing her bf and it caught up with her and didn’t know what to do lol
At around 2:01 he actually sold himself out, he said when she saw him with the phone.. Lmao
😂😂😂
I think he meant according to her version
@@harryrob8221 nah, I think he meant she saw him with the phone. Another commenter also pointed this out: the phone was broken so badly that part of it was bent. It was completely smashed, which is far beyond what would usually happen if a phone just happens to fall off of your lap and onto the driveway. I think the plaintiff told a heap of lies about how she got there and why to hide details from her mother and sound more innocent, but I also believe that he did, in fact, break her phone intentionally, and so does Judge Judy.
But some of these ppl in the comments saying they believe him over her
@@yasminrahim9228 There are always people in denial or sexist. Use your own brain.
And she’s suing for 5k😂🤣
I'm surprised the plaintiff won. She should've listened to her mom and stayed away. I don't personally think he broke her phone, but the relationship seems toxic.
She speaks like a child. I lost it when she said they gave her ice packs and a note for work. Lmao😂
😂😂
I agree, she seems younger than 19 but I would think there would be a bill for the exam even if she only got ice packs and a note.
She can’t stop lying.
She’s trying to appear as the innocent girl who is abused by her mean boyfriend, girl bye, I don’t believe it !!!!
They are both toxic as hell !!!
she's naughty and he looks mean and evil....
These combinations often end in CSI...
@@adebisiadeyemi8950 I don’t think he’s evil, but he is a bit of an asshole. Doesn’t mean he can’t change in the future but they should not be together. Also, I wouldn’t call her naughty, but she is willful. She didn’t do anything many teens don’t. And he wasn’t any worse than your average controlling boyfriend, but that phone was not damaged, it was destroyed. He owes for it. AND, he better NEVER do anything (to a future girlfriend for example) to put himself in prison, because he would be catnip to felons, trust me.
@RLucas3000
you are entitled to your opinion just I am mine...
Experiences and opinions may differ which I appreciate, if you think that her behaviour is normal for teens, well I don't....
And I don't know of average controlling boyfriends if you do...
Good luck....
Some women act the victim when caught. I get so sick of it. Come in looking all innocent but a harping woman in disguise. She saw something on his phone, and that's what the entire fight was about. She didn't start out with the complete truth to begin with. Smh......
When the daughters mouth moves, a whole stream of lies comes out.
The girl is 19 sneaking around like a 16 year old. I hope she matures and starts making smart decisions and doesn't end up in a situation like this again.
I wish I had friends like her mom. The mother really seems like a good high-moraled person.
"Miss Judy" 🤣😂
No wonder if broken, it’s AN IPHONE 6 LMFAO
Now $350.00 is not necessarily pocket change HOWEVER!!!
I’d be eating it breakfast lunch and dinner before I went on NATIONAL TELEVISION with that story!🤦🏽♀️
The defendant’s family is probably use to his shameful behavior but the rest of the plaintiff’s family & friends(???) are probably not looking too favorably on the plaintive, her brother and her mom.
Yeah.... smh. I'm 23, had my first bf at 17 and almost the exact same storyline, as many others have had, of the abusive teen boyfriend. We know better but just can't seem to do better. We end up dragging it out for much longer than intended and a lot of times it's because god put us in a position to where we have no choice but to finally leave for the sake of our lives.... A young naive girls loyalty to a boy like this is out of this world. It's comforting to know that the girls in these types of situations aren't alone and outsiders make comments like "shes stupid/dumb" or "She must like it" become background noice that mean nothing.
She was probably suing for more. Her new phone probably cost more and she could have produced a hospital bill.
@@destinyphillips1461 She clearly likes him but she needs to get out while she still has her life.
He's already giving a ton of red flags. She better be careful with him. He seems like the can't control his anger type.
4:24 the mom whispering "you probably shouldn't have been over there" 🤣
He lied standing right there I caught that 😂
I would not go on national tv to be embarrassed like this and literally let the whole world know how stupid I am over 300 😂😭
Judge Judy has little patience for their nonsense.😂😂
her story is all over the joint
Sadly some people have to learn from experiencing things for themselves. I hope she learned her lesson about all the red flags of controlling males!
You are responsible for the chaos that you bring in your own life and someone else's life. Enough said.
I like that “ when you act stupid, stupid things happen”
It’s 100% plausible that the phone could have slipped and broke on the asphalt when she got out of that car and that they may have been fighting about what she saw through his phone. I believe him on this case.
That was exasperating. The mother should have given the daughter a 'live and learn' lecture rather than drag this to court for an iPhone and an ice pack. Personally I think that damage looks like a 'dropped' phone. If he wanted break it, it would be in pieces, not just busted on one end.
I don’t think so lol I’ve dropped so many phones and when they crack from being dropped it’s usually not missing the home button or look as bad as that phone did but when a dude smashed my phone (I wouldn’t get with him so he got mad) it’s looks very similar to the pic of this girls phone except mine was a little worse cause they smashed it then threw it
I think it's as he said, she dropped the phone getting out of the vehicle, and he inadvertently ran it over.
I think the mom thought if she dragged her to court she could finally put a big enough wedge between them that she’d finally leave for good.
Beautiful girl hope she get away from that toxic relationship before it gets worst
Did we watch the same thing? 🤣 That girl is just as toxic if not more.
She’s sneaky and lies, men beware.
@@rc.1761 so you’re saying she isn’t beautiful and shouldn’t run away from a toxic relationship? They didn’t say she isn’t contributing to how toxic it is, just that she needs to get away from it because the relationship between the two of them isn’t appropriate.
@@Josie-6 yes she should get away from it because it’s not healthy to be in a toxic relationship it’s clear that he was the toxic one holding her against her will breaking her phone
@@Josie-6 Disagree, the OP clearly is implying that the male was the toxic one, RC.17 is correct in his statement. The OP misunderstood the whole thing and thinks the girl is saint. Shes a little fibber. This is what happens when we lie to our parents.... this situation could have become dangerous. My mother used to tell me and my sisters that lying to me will cost you, and that lying will only hurt us. Trouble is easy to get into but hard to get out of. I learned that lesson immediately after that a boyfriend put me out at 1 in the morning because of a disagreement. I didn't know the direction in which he lived, but I had to call my mother and tell her the truth. I went to a total stranger's house which could have been a bad situation because it was two guys who were roommates. He gave me the phone and then took me to the destination spot to wait for my mother. She came and got me gave the ex-boyfriend some choice words then took me home. After that, I didn't lie again about my whereabouts even though I was 22 I lived in my paparent'shome and had to follow their rules. My dad never found out about IT THANK Goodness !!
You were 22 and acting 12.
You couldnt get a taxi home? Or Uber? You could have got away with it and still learned a lesson. At 22 you should have a license and a car.
I have an immature and naive story too. 🤦🏽♀️ I was 18 chasing behind my ex and almost lost my life. I had to call my stepdad to come and get me from the side of the highway, with no lights just woods at 2 in the AM. SMH
the plaintiff's mother shared her beauty with her daughter... but not her intelligence
The mother doesn’t seem like the sharpest tool in the shed either considering she let her daughter take this to court over a $350 phone that the boyfriend she told her not to see broke it after the daughter snuck out to go to his apartment. The girl definitely lied to her mom about what happened, which is why she lied so much in court. She didn’t want her mom to know the full story leading up to him breaking the phone and wanted to sound more innocent. If the mom were smart, she would’ve said, “well spend the money on a new phone yourself because you snuck out to see a boy that you know is controlling and that both of you are toxic and immature,” not told her to go to court and sue for $5k. 🤡☠️
I wouldn't give a her a sh1t. I have no doubt he broke her phone, but let her learn a lesson. You freaking give attention to these teenagers and waste your time with their bs. That's why she is like that. She doesn't tell her mother where she goes, lies to her, and the mother still gives her the car. I'm very careful to not break my parents trust and she doesn't even give a freak about it. Meanwhile I'm responsible and think about my actions and she gets herself in all this trouble. Serves her right.
Oh, and if you judge that guy, don't even bother. He has a type of character that most of us think is wrong, but some people may find it alright. She chose him. Deal with it.
She's far from a victim. At least a spoiled child.
Yeah, I sound frustrated, but believe when I say I don't give a freak about her. The problem is people find this behavior normal, when it's not. These are not problems. You waste your time with this while others have real problems.
I'm astounded the Plaintiff wasn't pulled up for the Miss Judy line. Plus, toward the end of this I think Judge Judy had a gutful of the Plaintiff going on and by that stage it was quite clear said plaintiff wanted a brand new phone as opposed to the replacement value. Her iffy documentation kind of made her out to be more of a liar, too, so I'm a bit surprised Judge Judy took that more on board than she should have.
the phone i bought as a replacement was the same kind he broke. no one cared about getting a brand new iphone
I'm not sure Judge Judy would say anything about being called Miss Judy. It was too politely said.
Thank God I'm not that age anymore. What a bunch of BS. But even at 19, I didn't act like this. I was in the military and grown.
