Agreed. I loved Journey but don't even have the desire to finish Abzu.
First off, if your somewhat interested in this game don't watch this review because he basically shows almost the entire thing. I fully understand your point since it feels empty compared to journey and flower but I thought the end got much better and allot more entertaining. Meditating and finding does seashells felt pointless for sure, but when intoxicated on greens is where this game shines its brightest lol! I bought it for 15$ which I'm fine with, but if you're somewhat interested, just wait for a psn flash sale.

I might be the only person who didnt enjoy journey. As soon as i started someone who had obviously played a lot before joined my game and just started running through the level unlocking everything. I just wanted to explore and discover stuff on my own but the game would trigger cutscenes even when i wasnt the one doing anything lol I had to shut off my internet connection and restart the game.
Yeah that's a problem with that game or multiplayer games. In Journey's case, you'd have the best experience when it was newer before people just rushed though. It's a problem with multiplayer games in general though that isn't fully able to be prevented.
Vic's reviews are better than a "number system". Such lengthy, in depth reviews punctuated by X/10 is so odd (and pointless, IMO).
Sounds like it suffers from Hangover 2 Syndrome.

Lol, neither game was funny. That's not what I meant. Just meant that both movies were basically the same in every way, problem for Hangover 2 was that it came second, which made is seem redundant. Possibly, Abzu suffers from some of this as well.
This game tries to hard to be exactly what Journey was.
