I can tell you , getting a shore leave even in the non pandemic days is a rare occasion !! But once you get it , the feeling of entering a foreign land & getting to explore it in the short amount of time is actually more refreshing than a full fledged vacation .
Coming to a foreign land on s ship & exploring it !!, Isn't that what sailors are famous for ? Haha
Reality is a bit different !!! But we make the most of it always 😉

It was a bit of eye opener to all watching it from land. It made us realize the worth of being able to live on land with greenery, and a life full of hustle bustle around. Truly there should not be any reasons for us to complain.
And yes even if you had to go back to Emma, i am sure it will not be very depressing because being a sea farer u do stand a chance to enjoy other such nice places to get refreshed once in a while.😊

1. What happens if a crew member gets sick and needs medical attention? Is there any doctor/paramedic on board?
2. Do you get paid when you are not sailing? How long is the on/off time typically (like 5 months on and 5 months off?)
3 months vacation no sail no pay bro unless your company is good and gives you allowance

Better go for IT or software engg in that you earn more and also get foreign tours not like shipping. And if you are keen on joining merchant navy then better go for deck side in engine side u will work like labour if you get old ships.
@@darksouls57unv78 In quora u will get answers for all it questions starting package, maximum package for software engg, job prospects in US. If you are not that intelligent to get admission in IT or software engg then try for sponsorship in bigger shipping company. If you become captain in shipping there salary is also more with less work just prevent joining ships which sail in states due to marpol regulations.

Depends on ur company policies but nowadays good companies also give longer contracts. Anyhow big companies have many ships so if you want to join early you can inform ur company.

Man u doing a great job there, u have all the love and support from us, but u gotta start wearing that chin strap too, i see u not wear it in any of ur videos, It actually kills the whole purpose of wearing a helmet . . Be safe, Godspeed , Cheers . .
