I had a 9th grade English teacher who pronounced CONFISCATE as CON-FIS-TA-CATE.......She refused to admit to it when I called her on it in front of the whole class......Yep, I spent the rest of the class warming the bench in the principles office......I still remember the whole class laughing at her.....It was worth it. No doubt, you have noticed that people from the NE USA will often pronounce the word SAW as SAR..... It's just the way it is. Personally, I believe it adds interest to a conversation ..............
