She has to leave with her aunt and it is time to go. Nobody wants her to go. She doesn't want to either. But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Diana makes Marie sound so sad I actually cried while listening to this. Juan Diego Flórez as Tonio is also amazing.

I was at this performance and will be at the final performance tormorrow night. Ms. Damrau's God given gift, solid basis technique, extraordinary musicianship, and wonderful physicality destroy me...in the best way possible. I shed a tear...well, maybe three or four. She gets it. Ms. Damrau has it all. I was transported to a better time for 2 hours and 45 minutes. She is, indeed, the consummate singing actress.

was für eine stimme. ich liebe diana in jedem moment, aber manchmal erinnert sie mich an die unvergessliche beverly sills. vergangene zeiten sind einfach nicht immer vergangen, sondern leben in solchen ausnahmekünstlern weiter.
schön, dass man das noch erleben darf!!!
