The Satyayuga is just the last part of the Kritayuga when already humans existed. Therefore in terms of the four yugas (Chaturyuga or Mahayuga) you have to mention Kritayuga, not Satyayuga.
And the calculations of the times of the yugas according to our calendar are all wrong. They were calculated backwards from the supposed death of Krishna in 3100 BC which according to the duration of the dynasties after the war of Kurukshetra (which even do not end at the birth of Christ) in the 12th book of Srimad Bhagavatam is not the correct date. Also according to Berossos the Tretayuga ended after only 432.000 years in the great flood (which flood is identical with the flood of the Gilgamesh epic and also mentioned in the Hindu scriptures) about 33.500 BC (though the backwards calculation of the movement of Orion in the course of precession gives a date of about 36.500 BC) which also ended the Chakshusha Manvantara untimely. Then also the Dvaparayuga ended in a flood which submerged Krishna's residence Dvaraka permanently, according to the table 3b in Verbrugghe & Wickersham: Berossos and Manetho about 8990 BC (33.500 - 24.510), which fits the date according to Plato (between 9.500 and 8.500 BC ~ 9000 BC). And according to the Rigveda and the Mahabharata the Kaliyuga will end, when Vishnu (the constellation Orion) has finished his third step (the up and down movement of Orion in the course of precession which movements began in the time of the flood), which will be the case about 2400 CE.

Enjoyed your presentation Jason! But I want to clarify that the short count system of yugas of Sri Yukteshwar was already there in the Mahabharata and even in other Puranas as well. Especially in Mahabharata, Rishi Markandeya speaks of 24,000 year old yuga system split into two 12,000 years of ascending and descending segments to Yudhisthira, the Pandava. It is in quite detail.

Sri Yukteswar's model is his own, that is widely established and if you read the texts it is not there. So, I'm not sure who you get your info from but it is wrong. All the best to you.

In the other three ages, with their morning and evening twilights, the thousands and hundreds decrease by one. (i.e. 300+3000+300 = 3600 and so on…). That cycle comprising twelve thousand years is one half cycle of the fourfold chaturyugas.” While Sri Yukteshwar’s system may be his own & unique but the short count system was well known till the time of the Mahabharata as I have presented to you directly from the source. The problem occurred with later interpretations especially in the Puranas like Bhagavat Purana and others where these years were interpreted as divine years and thus were multiplied in relative to human years which created this new found discrepancy which was not there until the time of Mahabharata. Puranas were written much later with newer additions, modifications & interpretations on yugas which prevailed over the ancient short count systems as nowehere does it say these were divine years in the Mahabharata or any such more ancient texts. Our daily lives are kind of ok because of srila prabhupada and the golden age. We are still under a kind of blessing and grace from lord chaitanya and our spiritual successes ion that is still thriving. Even now global warming and war is threatening lives everywhere. Only another 3 4 hundred years of this liveable stuff. America and all will be history. Those who don't take to God and righteousness now will deserve what happens then.
Interesting to note the explanation offered on Kali Yuga by His Divine Grace Bhaktivedanta Swami Prahbupada , author of " Bhagavadgita as it is " and the the individual who brought the "Krishna Consciousness " movement to the world known as ISKON , or International Society for Krishna Consciousness " . Prahbupada also points out the same time length of Kali Yuga as 432,000 of our earth years .. ... however , he goes on to point out that we on this planet are currently in what he calls a 10,000 year "golden age " of spiritual awakening notably having commenced about 500 years ago with the advent or appearance of the "Golden Avatar " in the personage of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu . This saintly personage taught a path of God consciousness through " Sankirtan or the communal chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra - taking this more broadly I feel this " Golden Age " is upon us and that many among us as a global group are " waking up " .... in otherwords there is a bright side to this oft regrettably regarded yuga . A new piece of commentary recently came to my attention in regards to the individual yuga periods - that being , according to Sri Yukteswara , Kali Yuga has both a long count duration and a short count duration which includes a " golden age". It was this "short count " inclusive of this "golden age " that reminded me ofSwami Prahbupada's remark concerning a " golden age within this current Kali Yuga , which , according to him , has a duration of 10, 000 of our earth years . He expanded on this by pointig out that this " golden age " commenced approximately 500 years ago with what he called the " Golden Avatar " , in the personage of Sri Caitanya Maha- Prabhu , who , I was told , brought about the communal chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra . The system of the yugas is originally published in the Surya Siddhanta which is the oldest still existing book on earth, claiming it was written shortly before the end of the Satyayuga, which was the last part of the Kritayuga, when already human beings existed. This Surya Siddhanta was used by the babylonian priest Berossos of the 4th to 3rd century BC as one of his sources. This is important because the four yugas which compose a Chatur- or Mahayuga have a duration of 4.320.000 years (compare Rigveda 4.58.3). This number is obviously based on the duration of the precession of the equinoxes before the flood according to Berossos of 43.200 years (12 Saroi = 12 * 3600 years, the duration of 1 month of the precession). Moreover the Brahmanas and Puranas state, that the Tretayuga ended untimely in a great flood which at the same time ended also untimely the Chakchusha Manvantara. This Flood is dated by Berossos at about 33.500 BC, though the backwards calculation of the movement of Orion in the course of precession (depicted in Hindu scriptures as three steps of Vishnu through the universe) gives a date of about 36.500 BC. It is clear that this specific flood is meant because of the identity • of the 6th king before the flood Daonos the shapherd (which means the constellation Orion, the shepherd of the zodiac; it is the only of the ten kings whom is given an attribut) with Rama, who lived in the Tretayuga and is an incarnation of Vishnu (who is the ruler of the constellation Orion), • and of the tenth king before the flood Xiusudra, the surviver of the flood according to the Gilgamesh epic, with Vaivasvata (meaning: son of the sungod Vivasvan) who came by ship to the Himalaya and became the 7th Manu after the flood (compare Rigveda 7.100.4). According to the Srimad Bhagavatam he was king of the Dravidians before becoming the seventh Manu. Also according to Berossos after the flood the calendar changed from the counting of precessional movements to ordinary years. Also the 360-days-year before the flood (which is also shown in the Rigveda) changed to the 365,2422 days of the year now and the precession cycle from 43.200 years to now 25.920 years calculated (25.800 years astronomically). This change is depicted in Hindu scriptures as the "churning of the milk ocean" which already B.G. Sidharth in: The Celestial Key to the Vedas interpreted correct as a change of the rotation of the earth. So this evidently shows that the yuga system is no more valid. We are already in the Kaliyuga, which means that the Dvaparayuga also ended untimely. And according to Rigveda 5.87.4 and Mahabharata 3.189.33 the Kaliyuga will end when Vishnu (the constellation Orion) has finished his third step which will be the case about 2400 BC. So in our Mahayuga after the Kritayuga all following yugas were of shorter duration than expected.

Krishna is not an incarnation of Vishnu, Krishna is the source of Vishnu, the Avatari. Ishvara parama Krishna, Krishna is the supreme controller. Krishna stu bhagavan swayam. Actually, Krishna is Bhagavan, the cause of all causes.
That depends on which school of thought you follow. If you follow Shaivism, Shiva is the Supreme being. In the Vishnu school of thought, it would be Vishnu. But if you read through multiple schools of thought, the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, the Ishvara Gita, you will find they All refer to Brahman as the supreme; from there, again you can call any of those deities mentioned as the Ishvara. they are all different manifestations of the same supreme being. 🕉️

He seemed to believe in the chaos theory and stated he didn't have any spirtual beliefs. There are seven state of consciousness delineated in the Vedic literature. Waking, dreaming, sleeping, pure consciousness which Buddha saw, as satori, cosmic consciousness where we experience pure consciousness during waking, dreaming, and sleeping, and then God Consciousness (experiencing the light of God) and finally Unity Consciousness where the relative world is the same as the infinite. There is only oneness there, the unity of all things. Buddha described only the inner experience of pure consciousness during meditation and so he never experienced God Consciousness and so he never talked about it. Every one of us is an individual. God is an individual, and we are also individuals". Nitya nityanam cetanas cetananam (Katha Upanishad 2. 2. 13.) "Of all the eternal, conscious, individual persons, one is supreme." God is always supreme and you cannot ever join individual consciousness with Universal consciousness or God". Perhaps you are confused with the Hermetica and "All is mind". The Satyayuga is just the last part of the Kritayuga when already humans existed. Therefore in terms of the four yugas (Chaturyuga or Mahayuga) you have to mention Kritayuga, not Satyayuga.
Also in 12.2.ii it must be 5000 years
And the calculations of the times of the yugas according to our calendar are all wrong. They were calculated backwards from the supposed death of Krishna in 3100 BC which according to the duration of the dynasties after the war of Kurukshetra (which even do not end at the birth of Christ) in the 12th book of Srimad Bhagavatam is not the correct date. Also according to Berossos the Tretayuga ended after only 432.000 years in the great flood (which flood is identical with the flood of the Gilgamesh epic and also mentioned in the Hindu scriptures) about 33.500 BC (though the backwards calculation of the movement of Orion in the course of precession gives a date of about 36.500 BC) which also ended the Chakshusha Manvantara untimely. Then also the Dvaparayuga ended in a flood which submerged Krishna's residence Dvaraka permanently, according to the table 3b in Verbrugghe & Wickersham: Berossos and Manetho about 8990 BC (33.500 - 24.510), which fits the date according to Plato (between 9.500 and 8.500 BC ~ 9000 BC). And according to the Rigveda and the Mahabharata the Kaliyuga will end, when Vishnu (the constellation Orion) has finished his third step (the up and down movement of Orion in the course of precession which movements began in the time of the flood), which will be the case about 2400 CE.

Enjoyed your presentation Jason! But I want to clarify that the short count system of yugas of Sri Yukteshwar was already there in the Mahabharata and even in other Puranas as well. Especially in Mahabharata, Rishi Markandeya speaks of 24,000 year old yuga system split into two 12,000 years of ascending and descending segments to Yudhisthira, the Pandava. It is in quite detail.

While Sri Yukteshwar’s system may be his own & unique but the short count system was well known till the time of the Mahabharata as I have presented to you directly from the source. The problem occurred with later interpretations especially in the Puranas like Bhagavat Purana and others where these years were interpreted as divine years and thus were multiplied in relative to human years which created this new found discrepancy which was not there until the time of Mahabharata. Puranas were written much later with newer additions, modifications & interpretations on yugas which prevailed over the ancient short count systems as nowehere does it say these were divine years in the Mahabharata or any such more ancient texts. Our daily lives are kind of ok because of srila prabhupada and the golden age. Interesting to note the explanation offered on Kali Yuga by His Divine Grace Bhaktivedanta Swami Prahbupada , author of " Bhagavadgita as it is " and the the individual who brought the "Krishna Consciousness " movement to the world known as ISKON , or International Society for Krishna Consciousness " . Prahbupada also points out the same time length of Kali Yuga as 432,000 of our earth years ..
... however , he goes on to point out that we on this planet are currently in what he calls a 10,000 year "golden age " of spiritual awakening notably having commenced about 500 years ago with the advent or appearance of the "Golden Avatar " in the personage of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu . The kalpa cycles you clearly elucidate are something I learned about at the time spent serving in the Mandir . A new piece of commentary recently came to my attention in regards to the individual yuga periods - that being , according to Sri Yukteswara , Kali Yuga has both a long count duration and a short count duration which includes a " golden age". It was this "short count " inclusive of this "golden age " that reminded me ofSwami Prahbupada's remark concerning a " golden age within this current Kali Yuga , which , according to him , has a duration of 10, 000 of our earth years . The system of the yugas is originally published in the Surya Siddhanta which is the oldest still existing book on earth, claiming it was written shortly before the end of the Satyayuga, which was the last part of the Kritayuga, when already human beings existed. This Surya Siddhanta was used by the babylonian priest Berossos of the 4th to 3rd century BC as one of his sources. This is important because the four yugas which compose a Chatur- or Mahayuga have a duration of 4.320.000 years (compare Rigveda 4.58.3). This number is obviously based on the duration of the precession of the equinoxes before the flood according to Berossos of 43.200 years (12 Saroi = 12 * 3600 years, the duration of 1 month of the precession).
Moreover the Brahmanas and Puranas state, that the Tretayuga ended untimely in a great flood which at the same time ended also untimely the Chakchusha Manvantara. This Flood is dated by Berossos at about 33.500 BC, though the backwards calculation of the movement of Orion in the course of precession (depicted in Hindu scriptures as three steps of Vishnu through the universe) gives a date of about 36.500 BC. It is clear that this specific flood is meant because of the identity
• of the 6th king before the flood Daonos the shapherd (which means the constellation Orion, the shepherd of the zodiac; it is the only of the ten kings whom is given an attribut) with Rama, who lived in the Tretayuga and is an incarnation of Vishnu (who is the ruler of the constellation Orion),
• and of the tenth king before the flood Xiusudra, the surviver of the flood according to the Gilgamesh epic, with Vaivasvata (meaning: son of the sungod Vivasvan) who came by ship to the Himalaya and became the 7th Manu after the flood (compare Rigveda 7.100.4). According to the Srimad Bhagavatam he was king of the Dravidians before becoming the seventh Manu.
Also according to Berossos after the flood the calendar changed from the counting of precessional movements to ordinary years. Also the 360-days-year before the flood (which is also shown in the Rigveda) changed to the 365,2422 days of the year now and the precession cycle from 43.200 years to now 25.920 years calculated (25.800 years astronomically). This change is depicted in Hindu scriptures as the "churning of the milk ocean" which already B.G. Sidharth in: The Celestial Key to the Vedas interpreted correct as a change of the rotation of the earth.
So this evidently shows that the yuga system is no more valid. We are already in the Kaliyuga, which means that the Dvaparayuga also ended untimely. And according to Rigveda 5.87.4 and Mahabharata 3.189.33 the Kaliyuga will end when Vishnu (the constellation Orion) has finished his third step which will be the case about 2400 BC. So in our Mahayuga after the Kritayuga all following yugas were of shorter duration than expected.

That depends on which school of thought you follow. If you follow Shaivism, Shiva is the Supreme being. In the Vishnu school of thought, it would be Vishnu. But if you read through multiple schools of thought, the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, the Ishvara Gita, you will find they All refer to Brahman as the supreme; from there, again you can call any of those deities mentioned as the Ishvara. they are all different manifestations of the same supreme being.

There are seven state of consciousness delineated in the Vedic literature. Waking, dreaming, sleeping, pure consciousness which Buddha saw, as satori, cosmic consciousness where we experience pure consciousness during waking, dreaming, and sleeping, and then God Consciousness (experiencing the light of God) and finally Unity Consciousness where the relative world is the same as the infinite. There is only oneness there, the unity of all things. Buddha described only the inner experience of pure consciousness during meditation and so he never experienced God Consciousness and so he never talked about it. He also never experienced Unity Consciousness. This knowledge came from Maharishi. More on my videos.

Because these concepts predate the concept of Shiva. It actually is connected to Narayana concept & concept of Brahma. At this time, Shiva was the Linga, a tool used in Narayana / ParaBrahma temples to visualize the feet of Narayana on round surface, so that priests could pour holy water or milk on the feet, wash it & collect the milk, holy water to prepare prasad / fruit of the ritual.
