- An abandoned Russian settlement high up in arctic circle. It's been a time capsule since 1988 ever since the workers left. Now it's mainly just tourists, birdlife and polar bears that visit.

We were just in Svalbard in September and just missed the snow! What day were you in Pyramiden? We are releasing our Pyramiden video this week, so was super cool reliving a similar experience you guys had, very eery place right!?
We went to Pyramiden on the 23rd and 24th Sep. We went twice cos our glacier boat trip got cancelled. We were lucky to get a private tour with girl from the boat as we had been the day before.
Shame you missed the snow. We want to go back as we didn't see any polar bears :(
@@WestGoesEast oh wow twice ha, not a bad place to explore twice anyway I rek! See much Whale activity on the trips? And yes no polar bears for us as well, but seen some Arctic foxes (on our last vid if you are interested 😊). Looking forward to what you post next!
@@RollingRoutes we saw a hump back and some minkes and a bunch of dolphins. No Arctic foxes for us. Really want to go back to see the walruses. Had we have done the Pyramiden trip the first day.. They saw a bear with 2 cubs!
