    I got one myself. The temps and fans are insane on this machine. If you replace the fans with quality ones and downgrade the CPU to an i5 (the i7 is overkill for this device) along with undervolting, you can reduce the temps and fan noise significantly while staying approximately at the same performance. One thing to note is that Zotac hard locked the machine to 10th gen Intel CPUs. You can't put 11th or 12th gen CPUs in there coz the BIOS won't detect them.

    • @chilukarahul5740

      pretty sure bios update would fix 11th and 12th gen issue. also 3070 with i5 sounds like a fun bottleneck lol. theres always bequiet! fans ans low profile coolers if u wanna dampen the sound.
      km just baffeled why someome would downgrade for sound when speakers and headphones are so cheap nowadays and therea better solutions. id like to know ur mindset since i work with people and such info helps me understand customers more (its kinda off the records so i never had anyone teach me about conaumers)

      Which RAM are you using with this one ? I was using a 2400 MHz stick, but thinking of getting a 3200MHz kit. Will that have any impact on the performance ? Or is it an overkill for this machine ?

      @digleyd.3813 2 года назад +7

      @@nullerror4049 Except there is no BIOS update that unlocks 11th and 12th gen. People have been downgrading the CPU to an i5-10600 since this thing was released. As for the sound problem, not everyone likes to have a jet engine running in their room, headphones or not.

    Really cool device, but that price tag is more than enough to buy an ordinary sized tower with better hardware. I know the size is the point, but if you're getting a gaming rig...get a gaming rig.

    • @x7slim8x
      @x7slim8x 2 года назад +4

      Right, though not exactly this small.. some of the Mini ITX cases and resulting builds can get pretty small anyways. I agree, a budget of $2,600.00 can be better spent on more powerful hardware. Pretty damn cool form factor though!

    • @tyguy6296
      @tyguy6296 2 года назад +2

      absolutely. with the insane inflation of GPU prices right now, the price/performance on this is just not worth it just for the small formfactor.
      once things stabilize and we see hardware prices level off, I look forward to seeing what this product line offers. Get them down closer to the $1600-$1800 mark for the basic models and im sure they will fly off the shelf. until then you are paying for the shortages more than the hardware.

    This is an awesomely put together video, thank you ETA PRIME. I recently bought the same spec model of Zotac Magnus One, just love this form factor and having RTX 3070 at this price point is epic deal (I got the barebones at price less than than of Legion 5 5800H/RTX 3060 laptop and all the upgrades will bring it a similar price point - An absolute steal). I will be replacing the included cooler with similar spec cooler Noctua NH9i Chromax - rated for 65W CPU, primarily for quieter experience. Even though, this is a 4K gaming capable machine, I think this is perfect for 1440p High/Ultra, rather than 4K High/Ultra, more of 4K Medium/High machine. All in all, I think this machine can last upto 3 years, if not 4 years, not minding to game at 1440p at medium setting; I just wished Zotac upgrades the bios for 11th gen support, that would be cool or in the future brings Ryzen+Radeon models (AMD Advantage :P) or seperately sell the slot in card-like motherboard that this system has for easy upgradability (but it is a far fetched dream) .

    For around the same price you could build your own ITX build that's just as small, with better components. Is it possible to supply links to buy what you’re doing the video on that go to the actual product and not the generic storefront for that manufacturer on Amazon. It is really frustrating to click your ‘buy it here’ link only to have to search again and often not find the product on their page. Thanks for the video. I read and heard complaints about noise and overheating for this computer. I don't know much about hardware and have very little interest despite working in 3D graphics. I need a new computer for work as my laptop is dying and becoming overheated too often. I feel like it's time to get a mini PC instead, I really wanna get this one but don't wanna be running into overheating issues again. Would you recommend this?

    Been doing SFF for a lot of years now and these results are typical. The CPU heat is always the biggest issue. The heat sinks are always insufficient due to size constraints. Its strange that none of these big companies make something original, like a computer that uses the case as a heat sink or uses one giant heatsink for the CPU and GPU. You would think someone like Zotack would be able to pull that off.

      Streacom has the case you are thinking about, I think it's called the maxd or something like that, it used to be just one half of the case was the heatsink, but they just released one with the entire case as a heatsink and ssff

    Can you test it on batocera frontend please ? I bought a mini pc lately and the mother board is a custom made like in this computer and batocera do not recognize my nvidia gtx 1650 gpu. Well i can make it recognize it by batocera but as soon i try to launch any games it completely freeze . A developper told me its probably the motherboard model that is not supported by batocera . And i cant make any research on it because my mother board cant be identified by any software or dos command...so this computer is interresting but the custom mother board make me think about tha. Good review my friend.

    For PS3 emulation and games from 2019, would a GTX1660 be enough for med/high to high/ultra? I mainly just play D3, Mirror's Edge, and Ashes on my old 1080Ti setup. Is the 1660 a good upgrade or should I save up for a 3060 or 2080Ti?

    I have a modest 12 Litre sized self built system with i7 10700 and RTX 3070 and it`s very decent at 4K ............................ another of my systems has i5 10600 ( 6 core 12 thread ) and a 3060ti in it (almost as fast as 1070) in my experience the 10600 is no bottleneck compared to the i7 and so .................................... in this case don`t bother with the higher temps of the i7 and go for the more controlled temps of the i5 instead, it should be enough
